Default Collection tool

Does anyone use a tool to catalog your comic collection? A tool that is not excel

I've currently set my eyes on comic collector, but I'd prefer a tool that also support linux...

Sorry, I use Excel.

There's some threads here on this topic already. You might be able to find them with some clever searching.

Sorry, I use Microsoft Works, and that's not available any more. (Translates to Excel, but IMHO also builds better databases--and I use the database application, not the spread sheet). My daughter has found some freeware out there than runs Office-like applications from a Linux platform. I'll ask and post update if it's useful.

Apparently I'm not clever enough then.

Right now I use stashmycomics.com, which is very nice but horribly slow, and comicbookdb.com which is fast but not very nice.

I've given up on finding a good tool for linux. One can only find graphic novels, the other one has no internet lookup. So I'm using websites, which is okay tool.

Me neither.
I tried doing a search for that thread for you yesterday. I remember it got several posts and several Web sites and software programs were mentioned. It must've been at least a year ago.

Edit: Here it is. There were probably others but this came up under a search for "database."
There's 3 online recommendations there a few other anecdotes.

Yes, behold thy lord Deadpool, the rock, the hard place, like a wind from Oa he sweeps by, blown far from his homeland in search of glory and honor, we walk... in the garden... of his turpulence!

I guess I'll use stashmycomics.com as all Linux tools are basicaly shit. And I don't want to boot to Windows everytime I need to use Collectorz Comic Collection, which otherwise would have been my tool of choice.
