Now that DC has the GL franchise down to 3 monthly titles, it makes sense that we will start seeing the return of mini series and one shots to fill the void.

Yeah, me too to a certain extent. But since I'm a GL junkie and a Trekkie, it would be weird for me not to get this.

Sounds a lot more fun than that terrible GL/Aliens crossover years back. Wonder if we'll see Hal bag one of those green chicks... (although I do expect a rejection from Uhura)

An Orion slave girl. That would so be Hal's bag.

CONVERGENCE: GLC Plays With Idea of HAL, GUY & JOHN As 'Id, Ego & Super-Ego'
Quote:
Newsarama: David, at what point in Green Lantern history does this take place ó what's the Corps like and what unique aspect of that time period are you working with?

David Gallaher: These issues take place pre-Crisis, circa Green Lantern #180-184.

We have some nods to some of the Silver Age stuff by Dennis OíNeil. But -- you donít need to be an expert on any of that material to enjoy the story.

Nrama: What's the status quo of the Green Lantern Corps members in your comic? What are these particular Lanterns like right now?

Gallaher: The heart of the story centers around that time Hal Jordan quit the Green Lantern Corps and John Stewart took over. Where was Guy when all of this went down? We talk about that.

On the creative side of things, each character reminds me a bit of Freudís id, ego, and superego concepts. We play with that a bit here too.

Sounds like they're creating a new origin for Kyle. More of that "Hal can never flounder" stuff.

I hope the GLC isn't going to be planetbound. If they don't have working rings, I think I'll get tired of this series really quick.

Nice try, but including the Sinestro Corps isn't NEARLY enough to get me to buy a Lobo Annual.

So Hal is off in space fighting off stone aliens in GREEN LANTERN #42 but he's also got time to appear in SECTION EIGHT #2, JUSTICE LEAGUE #42, JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA #2? Pretty busy schedule.

I'm past being offended by the costume. It's only temporary anyway. I can live with it if they just have Hal star in his own comic and they pull off making it good again.
