Default "Emerald Midnight" is up! ("Hal & Kyle" Episode 16)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UTlrOwHgFMQ

+ YouTube Video
ERROR: If you can see this, then YouTube is down or you don't have Flash installed.

An episode written by our own Michael Heide, who wrote the short story for which the very first two Hal & Kyle episodes were based. Should be up hopefully by the weekend. Here's some shots.

Why is the Monitor watching American Idol? I mean Simon is obviously the result of a breaking of the 4th wall but shit man

Also, it may not be everywhere, but I'm trying to implement as much lip-movement as I can in this one.

Looking awesome man. Those customs are excellent. I am more excited by seeing Red Tornado and Firestorm standing side by side though, like they should be (even if it isn't Ronnie).

Can't wait boss.

That Natu custom is great. Was that posted in another thread? If so how did I miss that?

I made it, but it's not quite finished yet. I'll have pics posted when it's done in my custom's thread.

The deepest episode yet. Man...I LOVE where the story went in this one, very unexpected. Props to Michael Heide

The voice work is spot on once again. Awesome lines, especially Guys (nice work boB).

Excellent work by all the voice actors actually.

Also loved the music score. Check out Mario Rosales Myspace and listen to any of his songs. This guy has an amazing voice.

That was an great episode. Really well written & executed. The lip-movement looked really good.

I'm glad Norrin Radd was able to pay his respects.

All credit to the story go to Michael Heide, who turned in a slick script. And how about Jeph Parker? The guy is a vocal chameleon (he's done Kyle's voice, Sinestro's voice, Red & Green Arrow's voice, and now the Monitor and Mxy).

Damn, you got that Mxy fast. Good to know. The use of lip movement in this one was awesome, great addition to these. I'm lovin the use of music in the past few episodes. Especially the Manson. Great episode overall, in the top three of all you've done so far.

What are the other two?

I'm a huge Manson fan. Been using a lot of NIN cues for some time now, and Manson cues since League 5.

Uh, I dunno. Episode 0 is up there. Then it's probably a tie between E15 and E11. It's hard to rank them, some are more funny, some have a better story(deep) some are action packed.

Which have not disappointed in the least. Throwing "Something I Can Never Have" on there, which might I add is a song nearly 20 years old, was brilliant. To me (and I know I'm reading too deep into this thing) it represents that with none of those heroes can ever have, even with a Megaverse, and that is our life.

When you put it like that...

And now I officially feel old (re: that song coming out 20 years ago).

Thanks, but don't sell yourself short here. I threw in a few ideas, wrote a few lines of dialogue and suggested the lame American Idol jokes.

But everything that is awesome? That's Andrew's stuff.
