You can tell almost any comics story in four issues, if you don't pad it out with big panels and such.

And you don't need seventeen panels to show someone opening a bottle, or entering a room.

Movies could learn from that too. There are way more movies over 2 hours (let alone around 3) that could easily be under let alone the tendency to make limited series out of ideas that could be a movie.

Or entire ongoing series in some cases. I know this is an odd example, given that they were made in different eras, and the series came first, but for me "The Fugitive" was FAR more enjoyable as a single movie than a series with 4 seasons.
