Hal's the Capt. Kirk of the GL mythos! He's supposed to be out there kickin' ass and taking names, saving the universe on a monthly basis! I really can't see him sitting behind a desk while someone else does all the legwork. Hal's a gloryhog! Same way Kirk was meant to be a Captain and not an admiral.

One issue Hal the next issue Kyle and (big maybe) maybe Guy or JOhn.
giving the book back to Kyle means more stories of a guy still trying to find himself.........NO THANKS. Ive had enuff of watching him drink Radus coffee.

making the book have a rotating cast of primary leads (aka "musical chairs") would turn the main GL-title into another GLC, which would be unnecessary.

I do think they should bring back Tales of the GLC however, as that would be pretty sweet.

I'l love to see a new female Earth GL, but it won't happen. Besides, we have enough Earth GLs already.

You want Kyle and Guy dead?

I've read enough of him from Justice League of America and watching him in Justice League and Justice League Unlimited and in Green Lantern, he isn't that interesting, I even read the story on how Xanshi was destroyed he was a schmuck. There isn't anything that special to him Compared to Hal, Kyle, Alan, Guy, Kilowog, Salakk, Hannu, Mogo and a lot of other Green Lanterns. My bad he is the one who sulks about Xanshi, he is almost the Emo GL.

If Guy is still a Red Lantern... Kyle is an honor guard... it is possible

It's fine how it is. Leave Guy and Kyle GLC, but try to get John a bit more of the spotlight, as he seems to just be there at times.

I like Hal and think that Hal should be the focus as long as Geoff Johns is writing the series. Johns seems to have a good handle on the character and a plan for a long range of stories involving Hal.

After Johns leaves the series, I would be up for a change. I think one of the worst things that can happen to a title is having a character headline a series where there is no story to be told. The next writer may have the most epic story involving Rot Lop Fan and I would rather have that story be told than he or she being forced to write Hal sitting in a coffee shop for five issues just because Hal needs to be the focus.

I'll do you one better; Leave it as is, but give John his own mini series or ongoing!

Default Nope

The way the comic is selling, there's no way they'll change anything about it.

The GLC could use sprucing up though. Which I think should include putting John in it.

I'd take the mini, with an option of it becoming an ongoing.

1000x no. You don't see too many other heroes swapping places as it would confuse the readers. After BN, I would actually prefer the other GL's get their own books so John, Kyle and Guy can have their own storyarcs and not play second fiddle to Hal. That being said, I still see Hal as the main GL. Other GL's in their own books would give fans what they've been clamoring for without upsetting Hal's fans.

I'd honestly be very excited for a third Lantern book, one that focusses on John and Kyle or Kyle and Guy, for example. Call it GL: Honor Guard or something. Leave the fourth lantern in GLC rotating with the aliens, as they do now. That way John would get more facetime, and we'd get more earth lantern goodness overall.

Not sure how many people would buy both it and GLC though. I know I'd drop the non Kyle book. Can't really afford to keep up with more than two GL books between everything else that comes out.

The problem with poor John being stuck in 2814 as Hal's partner is that any time Hal is in a book, everyone else is stuck in his shadow. Standing next to Hal sucks John's personality right out of him. He becomes Hal's bland sidekick, who occasionally mopes about that one big mistake. John is infinitely more interesting when he is interacting with Kyle or Guy.

Guy is the only one who really seems to hold his own next to Hal, and even he tends to get marginalized as the angry and stupid version of Hal. Kyle, who managed to develop into an extremely interesting personality and impressive hero in his own right while he was on his own, immediately reverts into a self-conscious alley rat when Hal is there.

If anything, a new Green Lantern would become even more lost in Hal's shadow. It barely works with the four Green Lanterns from Earth now. Adding a fifth would never work.

In theory, as a fan of all four Green Lanterns, how could I say no? There are plenty of other comic franchises with three titles a month. It especially makes sense in a franchise with so many different protagonists. But the sales numbers would have to be there to support it.

I don't want Kyle, Guy, or John getting stuck in a title with bargain-bin writing and bargain-bin art just struggling to stay afloat, desperately trying to entice readers with the next shocking, life-changing event.

There are five Earth Lanterns, if you count Alan. And John and Alan are sadly under-used. Why does there need to be another one? Please don't put any such dumb-assed ideas in the heads of the folks at DC.

Yeah; you know Alan is never going to get all that much attention in a title featuring Corps Lanterns.

John does need more development. Most of the time he just seems redundant. In the context of Hal, Kyle seems weak and Guy seems one-dimensional, but John just seems pointless.

I wonder if GLC could successfully support Kyle, Guy, and John? I wouldn't mind seeing John somehow moved over to GLC. If done right, and if all three characters get the attention they deserve, it could give GLC another interesting character to develop, to keep readers coming back.

A third monthly title seems like it would be ideal to make sure all the characters are properly developed, but if you split off Kyle or Guy from the GLC title, you have to wonder how many readers you would abandon GLC for the new title.

The strange part is that he doesn't even get much attention in a title featuring the Justice Society of America.

Nope.
But imagine if they merged all the Earth GLs into one character. Similar to the way in which Kyle and Hal were both merged with Parallax. We would have to be fans of one character's divided personalities.

I like the different Earth lanterns with their different personalities. A completely new GL isn't necessary until they kill one of them off.

John got his own his own mini-series and I don't hear a lot of talk about Mosaic.
