  • Vol 3 comic collection

OK I've embarked on an extensive GL comic project. Part of it is my love for GL and wanting to read all the stuff I missed since getting back into it. The other part is my OCD side and need for completion. :P I've got probably 140 of the 181 vol 3 issues, and I also have just about all of the specials of that era. I've seen some contradicting lists of which of these specials is considered included in vol 3. From what I can see the annuals are considered part of it. However I've seen Secret files and 80-page giants on either side of the list. I'm also not sure about Plus 1, gallery, 3-D, etc. In the end I guess all that matters is I have them, but my OCD side wants to know where to file them. :P Thanks.

I'm in the same boat as ECC above.. i'm interested in reading the issues that cause Hal's exile, Day of Judgement, And the time Hal was the Spectre. I've searched the web and this board for answers but nothing has really turned up as a timeline or list of issues i can go by. If anyone knows of these issues in tradePB, that would be most appreciated too.

So I picked up Green Lantern #46 cause Mongol and cyborg supes were on the cover and was pleasantly surprised to find that this was part of the arc where coast city is destroyed and leads to Hals demise. Looking at this list it's apparent that this was a crossover. What issues do I need to get to have the complete story arc?

        Thanks in advance

So that ginormus list pretty much tells Hal's story from beginning to end, before it was Geoff-conned?

I'm doing a similar project to the OP, except that I'm picking up any and all appearances of Hal, since Crisis on Infinite Earths-including his post GL time-as well as all the Kyle Rayner appearances. I'm down to about 40 books or so, based on the list I have.

Thanks for the list. I see in proving useful in the future for myself.

Actually you need several Superman family books, basically you need the Entire Return Of Superman arc which was contained in, Action Comics, Superman, Superman The Man Of Steel, The Adventures Of Superman. That Superman Arc is where Coast City was destroyed, Note that the story takes place while Hal is off world dealing with the events of the Trinity Story, Trinity #'s 1 & 2 and crossover issues in GL, L.E.G.I.O.N and Darkstars. Hal only comes into the story near the very end of the Return Of Superman Arc and has few pages, Green Lantern #48 takes up around 24 to 48 hours after the end of the Return Of Superman Arc.

                      More to add?

                      Hi!
I have almost finished collecting this list (and the extras listed by Darth_Andrea). Are there more comics I should collect (as a Green Lantern collector)? For example I got the entire Day of Judgement set. If possoble it would be great if someone could tell me where these extra stories should be placed chronologically.

You should probably have the entire Guy Gardner collection, or at least the first half before it turns into Warrior. There are a lot of Justice Leagues with Guy and GNort, as well as any issues listed here: http://www.thegreenlanterncorps.com/...ad.php?t=22765

I found the adventures of Garnder very entertaining in this era.

Unfortunatly those are only TPBs, since I've been collecting 1990-2004 in single issues I'm more interested in those (I also have all the TPBs on that list).
