The preview makes it sound terrible. And we're treated to a "cruelest portrayal of Superman" ever in #2?

Really depends what is done with them. I'm not sure I'm all that excited about them getting fleshed out, but if they are used simply as a nebulous, occult threat that can showcase some serious weirdness, that's fine. I just feel like trying to explain them too much diminishes them. If we know very little, then they don't HAVE to make much sense.
