Heavy outlines, low level of detail, yup... looks like a cheap coloring book to me.

Apparently you don't have to be able to draw straight lines as a comic book artist...

Larf seems like a tough character to properly render. Even within the scope of a single artist, he seems to switch from creepy monster to a hanna barbera-type depending on his expression.

Can you point me to an interview where some at DC said it's going to be kid-centric? If that's true, I'm not going to bother with this book.

Count me in as a kid (4 decades old) because I have found a few Larf quotes to be endlessly amusing. However, in his first appearances, he was also intimidating, gross, and formidable. If he's going to be have the same personality as he did in GLTAS, the book is going to wear thin in short order.
