Heheh. I was thinking more along the lines of what the setting and direction of the overall story would be. Would it take place on Earth or in space? Evergreen City, Coast City, or wandering around again? Who would the other regular characters be, and so on.

There are certain characters that are just associated in fiction. Arthur goes with Guinevere. Robin Hood goes with Maid Marian. Superman goes with Lois.

So, the story they are hiding from us is how Hal came and stuck his sword between Kyle and Carol while they were sleeping, finishing their relationship

That analogy does work to a certain extent. A few of us basically just called Kyle the ladies' man of the group. Hal is certainly the seasoned top dog with "first dibs."
