Since a lot of us may be too busy to pop in tomorrow, may as well get the holiday ball rolling . . .
![]() A very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, ring slingers. ![]() And a belated Happy Hanukkah to whom it concerns. ![]() [This is back when Barry was Jewish and Hal wasn't, apparently.]

Merry Christmas everybody!
My wife decided to invite a bunch of family and friends over for Christmas Eve, so I'm entertaining 14 people at the moment, being my usual charming self. Life is good. Love you guys!

Merry Christmas everybody!
Spending the day with my mom. Hopefully will have a good dinner. We also saw some friends on Christmas eve, which was a nice get-together.

Merry Christmas!
My haul: The Art of Destiny, Volume 2 'Salem's Lot (Stephen King, novel) The Stand (Uncut, novel) The Shining (novel) Batman: Mask of the Phantasm (Blu-ray) Creature from the Black Lagoon: Complete Legacy Collection (DVD) Dracula: CLC (Blu-ray) Frankenstein: CLC (Blu-ray) The Mummy: CLC (Blu-ray) The Wolfman: CLC (Blu-ray) And my dad gave me some cash, and of course I got a few articles of clothing. I asked for a lot this year, and didn't expect to get nearly everything (didn't get 11/22/63 or It, so I'll need to buy those; the artbook was supposed to be for my months-ago birthday but shipped hella late). Went to my dad's to watch the original Creature from the Black Lagoon (I've only ever seen the sequels, read a novel adaptation of the original), but since The Shootist had only recently started we watched that instead (holy shit, AMC has more infomercials and US Mint adverts than the goddamn Home Shopping Network! And they padded the airtime like all hell by breaking up scenes at bad spots!). Gonna try to watch Creature tonight and then pick my way through the other flicks. I've seen a bunch but others either too long ago or not at all, so I don't need to view every flick. When I have time later, I'll give a review for The Shootist, but for now I'll just say it was pretty damn poignant.

Since my folks gave me an XBox One a couple weeks ago, I mainly got clothes today. I got some Pez stuff (I collect them) and a large variant figure of Guiron (one of Gamera's enemies). My stepdad found (at a flea market or something) a poster print of Audrey Hepburn (my favorite actress), which I already hung in my bedroom.
![]() My one friend got me the movie Life, which I haven't yet seen but am looking forward to.

1) The Creature CLC was literally missing a disc (case didn't have a slot for the disc, not even joking), so instead of all 3 films, I only got Revenge and Walks). My mother said she'd look into it, but I'm possibly going to have to end up buying a replacement set that includes what I want to watch. I'm pretty perturbed about it, but I'll wait and see. 2) The Wolfman case had the bottom tab of the spine broken off, so I had to empty the case of art and discs and the glue is drying now. Hopefully it won't be messy later. Watching Werewolf of London now instead of the either of the Creature flicks.

I recently upgraded that same series from bluray to dvd. You may want to wait or just return the CFTBL set. Next year that and The Invisible Man are the last two to go to bluray.

I got my son a bb gun for Christmas this year and he flipped out. Hope everyone's holiday, no matter which one you celebrate, is a joyful one.

That Henry Hull Werewolf figure is fantastic. I used to own the entire line and they were all amazing sculpts and designs. I got rid of them earlier this year purging my collection and still feel bad about it. Glad you like that movie. It's criminally underrated.

You may be confusing Werewolf Of London with An American Werewolf In London.

No, seriously, watch it yourself. I get that levity happens, but I wasn't expecting as much of it as I got. I didn't mean there was literally an excess, just that there was this stark dichotomy between the serious horror and the light-hearted humor.
