RPG Interest Check....

I've been tossing ideas around on how to do another Green Lantern related RP and I think I've finally got something. Taking an idea from books like the current X-Force and thinking about the GLCorpse and the book Justice League Dark, what if Sinestro recruited a handful of Lanterns to become Dark Lanterns? Wearing solid black suits for the most part and doing missions that rookies couldn't handle after the Alpha Lanterns are destroyed, they could operate like a SWAT team within the Corps and use lethal force more on the regular....

I would want to continue using the point/stat system we've used in my last few games to level up, but my main objective would be to stay away from having all the different colored Corps' show up in game unless their members needed to be taken out by the Dark Lanterns. I have a few ideas on how to get the game going and what sort of threats we would take on, so if anybody is interested just let me know and if we get a handful or more people interested we'll go ahead and try to get this thing off the ground.

Sorry , won't be taking part in this KL. I thought all the different coloured corps were the best thing about the first game. Hope it goes well though.

While that game was probably my most successful rpg, it took a lot of time to manage and with the stat system it seemed like even the better posters couldn't follow the simple addition and subtraction with the health and attack at times. Plus without being a moderator it was hard to figure out who was playing multiple characters just to play as more than one colored Lantern. However....

If we had one of each of the Corps we could create a New Guardians RP. I'd wanna stay green though!

Oh yeah I just renemberd, only 1 corps. So when would we get started? Also, I've made a design for a uniform.

So how exactly does this game thing work?

The last few I've done were stat based and you would level up every 5-10 posts or so and gain a stat point and level. You had a set number of constructs, by level 3 you gained a signature construct worth double damage, and you also had a health stat that would make it more interesting when in battle because you could either run your health down and get defeated/captured or run away or hide and wait for back-up. When I have more time I'm gonna give this another serious shot. The most successful RP I've ever GM'ed was on this board with the stat system with up to 26 or so active players at one point. It lasted about 6 months I think and was pretty damn fun.

Yeah I'd make micros. I think if we do this I'll base it around the Third Army crossover and make Red Lanterns available along with Green since everybody else is basically non-existant. I'll hammer out some new sigs today after work and then send out some invites. Remember your Lanterns MUST be alien even if they're humanoid and start thinking about what kind of constructs you would want in-game.

A) So it's red and green only. Do you get to make both, or just one?
B) No humans then, ok, I can dig that! Tell me, do they need to be canon aliens from the DCU, or can you just create crazy new ones?
C) If you ever want help with sigs, just ask!

A.) Just one.

B.) It can be a cannon alien or an original. However as far as alien abilities/powers you can only use one. But enhanced strength and speed is something you can increase with your stat points.

C.) I'm good. I'm bringing in a protege I helped get into micro'ing from the RPG site I frequent to be my deputy GM and help with micros. However I'm only making them for character/players that need them. I can spend less time on enemy stat sheets that way and create missions quicker....
