While I was mulling it over, they sold out. No biggie though. I didn't like the figure anyway and it would have been one of those things that I'd be afraid to pop open.

Good luck getting them. I actually called to ask how the 1 per customer worked. According to the TRU rep. Its based off billing address/card. When placing my order it let me put 2 into the cart and get all the way through checkout. I called to see how it the limiting worked before I submitted an order with 2 and it get rejected later.

I wonder if those orders are rejected, if they would reopen the sales orders for those rejects.

Red face Called TRU

I called TRU about this. I wasn't told how many of them were up for pre-sale but was told that "sometimes an item will be put on the site for pre-sale and will also be sold in stores later and not put back on the web. We do this especially when there are a limited number for sale. I suggest you check your local store near the end of February". Good news for me because I missed the pre-sale!

I contacted TRU about my multiple orders and the customer service rep said they both went through and I should be fine.

I just got an e-mailing saying my order is cancelled. If they ran out why wouldn't they take the item off the site? Way to go Toysrus, how annoying.

Let's take orders for 10,000 when we know we only have 2,814 to sell.

I just got the email....

I told customer service and they said they cancelled all of the orders and they said that the they were cancelled due to manufacturer delay. If the figure does become available again or 4 reorder they will price match if there is any difference. They have no further information..

The guy said this was the reason that would they pulled it off of the site I just don't know why it did not get canceled sooner.

The item was not oversold

According to this guy nobody is getting theirs from this preorder.

They never had the product to recall. The factory most likely never produced.

I think Toy R Us will sale the item again, but limited to 2814.

That's what it was supposed to be in the first place.

It seems it was mattel's fault this time. Couldnt produce the figure in time, so they pulled everyone's orders

I meant to say, it won't be limited to 2814. Probably sell it to the masses rather than a limited few.

For some reason, I doubt that would be the case. First of all, 2,814 pieces isn't a very large order and I feel could easily be done. Additionally, toy manufacturers are often late with getting stuff out on time. DCD is notrious for this. I mean, Blackest Night Waves 7 and 8 were delayed a couple of months.

Toy collectors wouldn't mind the delay. I think they would prefer the delay over the cancellation.

I didnt pre-order, but to cancel something makes me think they were never going to make them in the first place. It's not like they were in a time crunch, they still have 6 months!!

yes but this figure was supposed to be an early bird preview of the film and was supposed to ship in February. I think what the issue is something to do with the manufacturer. I know that there have been reports of toy jewelry with high contents of another toxic metal used to replace lead (cadmium i think.) that may have been used in this toy.

they were to have been availalbe in a month and a half. some machinery or something may have broken to cause a delay.

yeah, batjeepster posted some press release in Ring thread. Said something about manufacturing blah blah blah. Regardless... There hasn't been a toy line thats come out on time since I started collecting. They need a better excuse, like the toy makers got Chlamydia.
