As opposed to that "fresh story" about Sinestro trying to defeat the Green Lantern Corps?

Well, we're only two issues in to a new arc, so who knows?

Well, it works for all the stories, not just DC if you know what I mean.

Villains wanting to kill the heroes? Yeah, that's retreaded in just about every superhero comic.

If that's an ongoing, it won't last long.

I still want to read that interview.

I stopped reading X-Men for a couple of years. Didn't like the art, the story, the line-up... I just hated it all. For a little while they were switching artists in the middle of the damn book, and it's like the artists didn't even speak to each other. The rooms would change, the people would look so different you couldn't tell if they were the same people from page to page, for a while they made Wolverine look like Homer Simpson... it was just horrid.

I've recently picked it back up. Emma Frost joining the X-Men, sleeping with Scott, the formation of X-Force... it love it! I've always HATED Cyclops, and now he's turned into a bad ass. I've always loved the fighting between him and Wolverine, but I've always been on Wolverine's side because I HATED Cyclops. Not so anymore. Cyclops isn't worried about being a boy scout, or being Xavier's favorite anymore. I love his relationship with Emma.

X-Force is bad ASS. They've made Angel a contender again, when I thought he'd just gotten lame. Cyclops deciding to put together team of assassins to do the jobs the X-Men couldn't do? Hell yeah! About time somebody in that book grew some BALLS!

I love the Necrosha run, dare I say it, better than Blackest Night. Sure, there was similarities and it was a lame time to do this story with BN just hitting it's peak. But they're bringing back awesome villains you haven't seen in ages and making them bad ass again. And the difference being, I think the Necrosha bad guys are actually the bad guys come back from the dead, instead of just being controlled by some outside force. Don't get me wrong, I love BN in it's own right, but I'm more emotionally invested in the Marvel characters than I am these DC characters.

I am THRILLED to have the New Mutants back. And I think that's kinda retarded of me to say, because I used to hate this team. Like, hate them with a passion. But I've seen a bunch of these guys grow up on other teams since I was a kid, and to have them back together... I just didn't realize how important these characters had become to me over the years.

I think this current X-Factor is kinda cool. And while it may not be X-related directly, I love Havok running the Starjammers. He's really become a solid character, and isn't so much Marvel's whipping boy anymore. For a while there, Havok was the one Marvel kicked around the most. Hell, I even love the Young X-Men!

Wow, that turned into quite the rant, didn't it? I'm picking up every X-comic I can get my hands on. I think this is a real exciting time for them, I think they're making these characters back to what they SHOULD be, and I'm loving it.

Astonishing and Uncanny are the best. So, get on board quick.

Ellis' first arc is in trade, and you've only missed two parts of the current arc.
