Default 13" Sinestro Figure from DCD

I can't believe no one is talking about this yet!?!? Simply amazing!! It looks like it'll still go through a few changes before release, but it looks fantastic already. I may buy three and do a few customs since I ordered four of the Hal Re-release with the extra heads. Amon Sur and Romat-Ru here I come!!

Face and head look very detailed, very cool... body and costume look a little bit too stitched/stuffed animal-esque. At least in that shot.

Yeah I hope thats just a prototype, that uniform looks almost fan made and the emblem on his chest is crooked. design wise I think it looks great, Deffenitaly needs a little improvment.

The head sculpt just proves how CREEPY Sinestro as drawn by EVS looks!

But I absolutely LOATHE the bright, neon yellow of the costume! They need to do the whole thing up with the same metallic gold fabric they used for the Captain Marvel (Shazam!) 13" figure (used on his belt, cuffs/bracers, and the trim on his cape), it looks MUCH classier than that damn neon yellow!

Well! If you take a look at some of the new Marvel 13" "figures", they're moving in the way of dolls. Hard-plastic, detailed hands and head, stuffed body and soft-fabric outfit. So! It wouldn't surprise me at all if DC went that way with some of them too. Prolly costs less.

Makes it look kick ass from across the aisle, but when you pick it up... it's a cheap-o Barbie Doll.

Well, DCD's 1/6 scale line is based on plastic super poseable bodies underneath fabric costumes. All of them have been absolutely wonderful and the finished product always looks ten times better then the initial showing of said doll. A couple of things to keep in mind on these photos-

The pix are super washed out so the colors aren't correct.

This is the first prototype being shown...I'm betting the cut, texture, and color of the material will change before the actual solicit goes up, and certainly before the release.

Yes...the Battery is accurate and will probably light up just like the Hal Jordan Battery does.

Sin is built on the same extended thinner body type that Joker is on. This is the same body as the 12" Robin that DCD did a few months back, except now it has the various extenders in all the different body appendages to make him 13" tall.

--------------------------------------
I have faith that the finished product on this will be Heart Stopping. However, These are my wishes involving the evil Korugian...

I wish they would include the same Despotallis accessory from the upcoming 6" Sinestro. It would just be nice little addition and kinda count as another character (Like the Mr. Mind that came with Cap Marvel)

I kinda wish they threw in a few additional heads like the 1/6 scale Green Lantern Corps set. I bet Sin's thinner stature prevented this though.

Later on I hope DCD does a classic (Blue & Black) Sinestro with a GLC uniformed variant. But I really do think it was in their best interest to do the Sinestro Corps costume first. It's a superior costume design wise and is going to look cooler with all that detail in this format.

I wish I had a few appendage extenders-

The head sculpt is nice, but the stitching on the fabric is pretty weak and the colors are off. The costume should be gold instead of yellow, and the belt should be black instead of silver.

I guess continuity doesn't mean much to this current lot.

And you know the color scheme better than most of us, since you actually did the colors for the book!

That being said, the belt has always looked gray to me in the comic, rather than black.

But it's really cool for one of the (former) colorists on the book to back me up on the whole "it should be gold" thing!

Agreed!! I really want a John too. If it was up to me (and it ain't) I would have Guy come with two heads, one classic w/bowl and one current with spike doo.
John would come with three or four different Corps member heads. John, Vath Sarn, Bareer Wot, Tomar Tu, Green Man...the list could go on and on. I know the uniform wouldn't be exact...but I'd let it go in order to get lots of Corps members. Throw in a mini fig of B'dg too.
