i was lucky enough to get Plastic Man from Mattycollector.com.ts even out on the truck for delivery today from UPS. ill tell you think, they went on sale at noon here (Florida) and it took me forever to get the sale to go through. i think they sold out in a matter of minutes. the SDCC figures for this year were probably record breakers when it came to the time it took to sell out, lol. i just regret not having money to buy more than one or get Starro.

ok, i didnt know if this deserved an entire thread so im just posting it here: with so many accessories and what not, i have no clue what pose to put the SDCC DCU Plastic Man in. So i was wondering how others have him posed on their shelves or bookcases or desks or whatever.

P.S. i am NOT rubbing in that i got Plastic Man, i am legitimately curious and clueless, lol.

P.P.S does anyone have any of those little Starro thingies they had at SDCC for trade or sale or something?

thanks man! hes actually kinda weird. his rubbery arms are reallyyyyyy rubbery and floppy. the spring is an actual spring covered in rubber that bounces. the neck attachment looks a bit odd when its on. it feels like you have to take him to the point of almost breaking him to get the parts off, i know they wont break, just feels like it. all in all, hes pretty spiffy, the only reason he was a SDCC exclusive was he has so many accessories i think. the flyswatter and paddleball are kinda odd looking though and i could have done without them. however, i do think, of all the DCU figures, he has the most potential to be actually played with instead of just displayed. i think Mattel messed up by making him non-retail because he would have sold like wildfire and kids would have loved him.

my "professional" opinion: on the bastich up and get your plastic on!

I imagine such a kid friendly toy will be mass released with less accessories.

I managed to order one from Matty. I opened him right away and I'm glad I did. he looks entirely too cool to leave him locked up in a box. his face is one of the best from DCUC and I like all of his accessories, but like Deathbox said, the rubber arms are a little too floppy and there is no way to display them without looking awkward.
I display all of my DCUC together and I have Plastic Man with his regular body, except the neck so he stands taller than everyone else.
