Triple H disliked Tough Enough because he said it gave away too many secrets. He was right because when you know how something is done, it stops impressing you.

Re blading, Roddy Piper took it even further, as he usually did, by smashing a glass bottle on his forehead. He was a good guy but legitimately crazy.

Randy Savage was also legit crazy, but in a more negative way than Piper was.

Re-watching Survivor Series 1990 now in prep for Sunday's 30th anniversary of Undertaker's premier. Pretty cool how he'd maintain that stare back then. They did manage to sell him being unstoppable while still getting him out of the match (by count out).

I actually don't care about the made-uo brand warfare (they crossover way too often to care), but I dig celebrating 'taker and I'm definitely looking forward to Asuka vs. Sasha and MacIntrye vs. Reigns.

Taker was on hot ones yesterday. Its a show where celebs do a hot wings challenge and answer questions. Still weird seeing him out of character when he protected it for 30 years

Yea i saw that. Its going to suck that his final farewell is tomorrow. Everyone from attitude era is retired . I was thinking about how many top guys the attitude era had in terms of WWF champion. Rock ,austin ,hhh, mankind, big show, kurt angle, Jericho, benoit, kane even though he wa WWF champion for 24 hours undertaker, hbk . Today there isnt a top guy let alone 10 of them. Hhh said in a interview earlier this year that cena was the last guy to be the poster boy for the company. I think wwe really messed up with balor after his universal title win and when he came back from injury that year. I also think shelton Benjamin is underrated and should of had a WWF championship run after team angle split in the early 2000's. I dig drew ,bray ,tomasso, kross currently

I saw the highlights for takers farewell. Still lettering it sink in. I just wish a live crowd was present for his farewell . also nice touch for paul bearer hologram ._.. That got me having flashbacks to the funeral parlor segment they use to do

It was pretty nice thought it was kind of weird that all the legends flock in and then they just cut and they're gone. They didn't say anything or interact with 'taker.

But yeah, the hologram was a nice touch and it actually works storywise being a "spirit."

To me wwe is dead. Sure they currently have great talent but none of those guys will be the face of the company like the 10 i named from the attitude era. I miss it being a soap opera where it has me wanting to see what happens next week .

Yeah, there really is no face anymore. I guess they try to lean on that and say they have a cast of characters, but it's a very different vibe from the Attitude Era or anything before.

There's a lot I don't like about the modern product, but there's a few wrestlers/stories I really dig. So, I skim Raw every week (sometimes I end up watching just a match, sometimes 3 or 4 bits), watch NXT, and lately watch all of Smackdown (I might go back to skimming that too).

I just watch highlights. I think lars Sullivan could be great but he fucked up big time for doing gay porn ranting online about gays than trying to get sex from a married massuse. Dude needs to get his life in order. I still think guys like drew or finn can be the next poster child but wwe is going to wwe. Right now Roman is fantastic as a heel. Imagine they did this with cena 10 years ago where he turns on make a wish kids. It be like hogans nwo heel turn with no more wat your vitamins say your prayers

People are calling it one of the stiffest matches in modern history (or hardest non-bloody match) or even a potential match of the year.

So shotzi and ember are teamates at war games i see . Cant wwe just put the womens tag belts on nxt? Main roster does nothing with them. Make ember and shotzi womens tag champions. And for the love of god bring back ppv sets. Ppv use to feel special. Keep rhea at nxt because the Main roster will lose her in the shuffle or job her to sasha banks.

Well, as someone who does pay the $10 a month WWE Network (sometimes taking breaks), I very much appreciate the PPVs being part of the subscription and I know I wouldn't pay the going rate for PPVs nowadays.

The biggest problem is that there are too many of them. WWE's main roster has 12 a year now (including the 2 Saudi shows) not including NXT's Takeovers. That definitely dilutes the special-event feel.

Anyway, I love Shotzi and wouldn't mind that tag team having some legs, but hopefully not at the expense of either's single career. That said, Ember's return hasn't been too impressive yet. I have hope, but so far she's bombed on the mike with her new gimmick (the look IS cool) and at best had a mediocre match.

I'd definitely be cool with the tag belts being mainly on NXT, though. The Jax/Baszler team probably has spent all its steam. Better to pull the trigger on their feud.

Its like 2 ppvs a month so thats 24 for the year since theres 12 months in 1 year. Wwe needs to scale back a bit. Imo since ronda is returning soon have her and shayna form a team go to nxt. If wwe gets tessa blanchard have her and charlotte team up with ric managing them

There was a time in the 90s when Vince actually toyed with the idea of a $9.95 PPV every Friday night. I'm not even sure the popularity of the Attitude Era would have sustained that model for very long. Like you, I miss the days of 4-6 PPVs a year.
