I stopped watching after viewing 3, which I only watched relatively recently. Being self-aware was nice for a change in the genre, but the series just never hooked me and I just can't really bother to care past the opening trilogy. Not a bad series, but I'm just not invested in it enough to want to see any more of them.

4 was not really a success, though, so I doubt they'd just repeat the Scream 4 formula. It'll probably barely have any old cast, if any.

My enthusiasm died with Randy, and I can't even stand Jaime Kennedy outside of Scream.

I remember being mostly satisfied with Scream 2... when I was like 18. I remember being vastly disappointed in Scream 3. And Scream 4, just kind of shrugging when it was over. Like, "What was the point in that?" But I was looking forward to it.

I watched it start to finish, returned the DVD and tried to forget everything about it. There were a few solid ideas, and Traylor Howard is always adorable, but Kennedy was terrible, the special effects were insultingly bad, and it was very justified in destroying the director's career.
