Default Chicago adds "amusment tax"

If you're in Chicago now you get slapped with a 9% tax on playing Playstation or X-Box One online, or going to the movies.

9%? That's pretty extreme, IMHO. This isn't like taxing cigarettes, where the activity in question demonstrably increases costs for the government, in terms of health care, which they are trying to offset with the tax.

Then again, I live in Oregon, where we don't have a sales tax of any kind, so I'm not used to the idea of paying a transactional tax like that. (I just get mugged by income and property taxes.)

Haha, that's hilarious. You get what you pay for. If you elect politicians that will tax you like this, then you deserve to pay them.
