Factory Entertainment SDCC 2014 Exclusives UPDATE

The last of Factory’s SDCC exclusives has been announced, and it looks like they’ve saved the best for last. Behold, the Stan Lee talking plush:

Here’s the description from the product page:

And one last great bit of news: Stan Lee will be stopping by the Factory booth to meet fans during the convention. No specifics as of yet, but Factory did put out this information at this time:

NECA’s San Diego Comic-Con 2014 Exclusives

NECA revealed a closer look at the Super Freddy Retro 8″ action figure, that will be available at Comic-Con and then in limited quantities “both inside and outside the US”. The figure will be limited to 5000 pieces worldwide and priced at $40 – which, considering this is the first time Super Freddy has been made as an action figure, seems like a good deal. His clothes are made of fabric, and the packaging features a custom illustration from A Nightmare on Elm Street Part 5: The Dream Child.

Super Freddy Retro 8″ Clothed Action Figure: This is the first time Super Freddy (from A Nightmare on Elm Street Part 5: The Dream Child) has been made by anyone as an action figure! He was first revealed at Action Figure Insider, and now we’re back with up-close photos and a first-ever look at the packaging! The backer card is custom illustrated by Christopher Ott and Geoffrey Trapp.

The second of NECA’s exclusives has been revealed, and it’s a triple-threat Pacific Rim set. Just like with Super Freddy Retro, this set is limited to 5,000 pieces, and will be available for $60.

Pacific Rim “End Titles” Jaeger Action Figure 3-Pack: This special edition 3-pack is a deluxe recreation of the end credits for the hit film Pacific Rim! It contains black-colored, high-gloss-finish action figures of Gipsy Danger, Crimson Typhoon, and Striker Eureka, packaged and positioned in the same formation seen in the credits. The 7″ Jaegers also have glow-in-the-dark paint effects on their “visors” (or conn-pod windows).

The background insert and printing on the acetate window utilize the same graphics created by Imaginary Forces in rendering this scene for the film. The window box is covered with a protective slipcover featuring an embossed foil-printed insignia of the Pan Pacific Defense Corps.

You can view more photos on NECA’s site.

Two Scalers 2-Packs featuring Marvel and DC characters will be available at the convention, with a limited quantity online for those not making the trip to San Diego this July. Here are the details from NECA’s blog post:

Marvel Scalers 2-Pack – Silver Centurion Iron Man and “Marvels” Spider-Man:
The Marvel SDCC Scalers 2-Pack includes Silver Centurion Iron Man and “Marvels” Spider-Man. Premiered in issue #200 of Iron Man, the Silver Centurion armor marked Tony Stark’s big comeback as Iron Man (a position which Rhodey had been filling while Tony was mainly drunk). Spider-Man’s black and red suit appeared in the 1994 Marvels mini-series written by Kurt Busiek with illustrations by Alex Ross.

DC Comics Scalers 2-Pack – Black and White Batman and Joker: The DC Comics SDCC Scalers 2-Pack includes black and white versions of the comic series Batman and his arch-nemesis, the Joker. These collectible, 2″ mini figures grip headphone cords, cables and more, and feature an amazing level of detail!

NECA’s fourth Comic-Con exclusive is really out of this world. The company unveiled its latest SDCC exclusive, a 7″ Fire and Stone Ahab Predator action figure that features over 25 points of articulation and comes equipped with a removable backpack, removable mask, and a spear staff accessory. Attendees can snag the figure, limited to 5,000 pieces worldwide, for $30.

Fire and Stone’ Ahab Predator Action Figure: As seen in the Dark Horse Comics series Fire and Stone, beginning October 2014! In his prime, Ahab took deadly trophies from countless worlds, his scars a proud record of glorious battle. Now an elder of his tribe, he leaves small game to the next generation as he looks to his final hunt. Following a lifelong obsession, Ahab searches for a creature more formidable than any Predator has ever faced before.

Mattel’s San Diego Comic-Con 2014 Exclusives

Although Mattel is well-known for having a busy booth at SDCC, their pre-order system is something pretty awesome that differentiates them from the rest of the competition (and once we have more information on that, we’ll be sharing). That being said, outside of the juggernaut that is Monster High there are very few Matty exclusives that hold their value after SDCC. This means attendees can really look at the Mattel booth in a much different way than other vendors. Regardless of whether you go pre-order on June 24 (which we recommend), stand in line, or pay a few extra dollars on the secondary market it is certain that there are a few items that will be must buys for many con-goers.

[UPDATE May 27] Mattel has announced that the June 24th presale for its SDCC exclusives will take place from 9AM PT on June 24, though 11:59PM PT on June 30th. In addition, Matty subscribers will have access to the sale a day early, on June 23, at 8AM PT.

Over the next several weeks, Mattel will be unveiling all of its SDCC exclusives for 2014, and we’ll update as soon as new exclusive items are announced.

Batman™ Arkham Knight Batmobile ($85): In the video game, Batman™ battles all-new threats in Gotham City with the help of an arsenal-equipped vehicle. This Batman™: Arkham Knight Batmobilefeatures premium, highly-detailed deco and authentic sounds straight from the game, and much more!

The tires can do a complete 360-degree spin, allowing the vehicle to turn on a dime… very handy for pursuing villains. When the top of the vehicle is pressed downward the firepower is revealed: on the left side, a riot suppressor rubber bullet gun, and on the right side, a high-powered Gatling gun, both with sounds and light effects – straight from the game! Hold the activation button longer than three seconds to create a red glow, simulating heat transferring, and press the rear button to turn on the headlights and play the game’s iconic Bat-swarm sound effect. There are also controls to rev the engine, to see the exhaust light up, and for the sound of the cannon. The vehicle comes with an articulated DC Comics™ Multiverse Arkham City Batman™ figure with a fabric cape allowing Batman™ to sit in the driver’s seat! The Batman Arkham Knight Batmobile will be available as part of the June 24 pre-sale, as well as at the convention.

DC Comics™ Total Heroes™ Ultra Cyborg ($25): Tech-equipped Cyborg joins the Total Heroes™ lineup! As homage to the Super Powers Cyborgfigure, this figure has silver VUM deco, and arrives with two interchangeable heads, his classic look and an updated stylized version, as well as three sets of hands. This hybrid of man and machine brings with him a tool and gear for just about any job he might encounter, including a Mega Blade, a Concussion Cannon and a Sonic Scrambler (all of which fit onto his arms), and a Jetpack with Airfoil Wings so he can take to the air!

Disney•Pixar Cars 2014 Special Edition Neon Racers Gift Pack ($50): Welcome to Japan! Shu Todoroki is hosting an endurance night race from Mt. Fuji to Tokyo’s colorful Ginza District. Get ready to experience the exciting world of neon racing!

In Japan, the presentation of a gift is as important as the gift itself. You can experience this Japanese tradition with the 2014 Special Edition Neon Racers Gift Pack. The specially designed furoshiki, Japanese wrapping cloth, features comic book-style illustrations of the Neon Racers story. Open the wrap and you’ll find a racing diorama with die-cast characters Lightning McQueen and Shu Todoroki illuminating the streets of Tokyo in their amazing customized lighting and neon deco. The Disney•Pixar Cars 2014 Special Edition Neon Racers Gift Pack will be available as part of the June 24 pre-sale, as well as at the convention.

Monster High® Manny Taur & Iris Clops 2-Pack™ ($40): Bull in china shop seeks gentle ghoul with the stars in her eye to help navigate the confusing maze of high school love. Just like last week’s reveals, this 2-pack will be available for pre-order at MattyCollector.com on June 24, 2014, and can then be picked up at San Diego Comic-Con. For those who can’t make the trek out to SDCC, you’ll be able to pick up the figures online starting August 5, 2014.

Masters of the Universe® Classics Hordak® with Imp: Celebrate the 30th anniversary of She-Ra® and Princess of Power® with the first-ever Filmation-style Hordak® figure! Inspired by his ‘80s animated appearance, complete with blue skin and interchangeable cannon/”human” arms, this figure includes a snap-on claw hand for his cannon arm and a Horde magic staff. Joining Hordak® is his sarcastic sidekick from the series, Imp, in his first appearance as a Classics figure. And as a bonus, SDCC attendees who purchase the Hordak figure will receive a special “Imp as a Treasure Chest” figure, as seen below. This bonus Imp figure will not be available outside of the convention. Hordak will be available as part of the June 24 pre-sale, as well as at the convention. It will be offered online via MattyCollector.com after the convention, but without the bonus Imp Treasure Chest figure.

After today’s unveiling, MattyCollector’s Scott “Toy Guru” Neitlich posted on the official forums that Hordak would be priced at $30.

DCU Classics Doomsday: One of the most demanded figures in the DCU Classics Signature Series finally arrives! This massive maniac had the ultimate face-off with Superman™ in the best-selling issue #75, and now, in his first-ever appearance as “prison suit” Doomsday, he joins our DC Universe Classics line. Standing at over 9” tall with 16 points of articulation (16!), the Kryptoniankiller arrives in his prisoner suit. (How in the world did he fit all of his spikes and bones inside that suit? Some mysteries may never be solved.) Doomsday comes in a custom window box that pays homage to the cover of DC Comics Superman: The Man of Steel #18 (November, 1992), the issue where he made his first full appearance. The outer mailer packaging for the figure includes a red “Death of Superman” logo with Doomsday’s biography on the back, while the inner packaging features a cool cracked plastic effect, as though Doomsday is trying to break out of the box.

Hot Wheels® The Homer ($30): Hot Wheels® proudly presents The Homer from everyone’s favorite cartoon show “The Simpsons.” This vehicle is a faithful reproduction in awesome collectible packaging of the Homer Simpson-designed car “that’s everything the average man ever dreamed of!"

Hot Wheels® Aston Martin DB5 ($20): It’s the movie car that became almost as famous as 007 himself! This detailed Hot Wheels® version of James Bond’s Aston Martin DB5 comes with a special spy-catching deco and a Comic-Con package that you won’t want to miss.

Both of these will be available during the pre-order and at the MattyCollector booth during San Diego Comic-Con. They will also be available online at HotWheelsCollector.com after the covention.

Ever After High™ Cerise Wolf™: According to the fairytale, Red Riding Hood is a wide-eyed, carefree girl. Yet there’s something different about her daughter, Cerise. Ever the mysterious lone wolf, Cerise wondered, “What if I didn’t have to follow in my mother’s footsteps? What if I could let the world know my family secret? What if….

Mattel’s San Diego Comic-Con 2014 Exclusives UPDATE

After we got a sneak peak of the upcoming Hot Wheels and Star Wars collaboration, the digital version of Road & Track magazine now has the details on exactly what the upcoming Comic-Con exclusive will look like, after getting their hands on Star Wars Insider #150 (which will be available on newsstands on June 10).

According to Road & Track, the Mattel exclusive will be a Darth Vader vehicle, the first of an all-new line of character-inspired original Star Wars vehicles, die-casts, and traditional cars wearing Star Wars decos to be unveiled at SDCC. The photo unveiled in the magazine is actually a life-size version of the figure (that will go to one lucky winner), and attendees will be able to purchase the toy-sized version at Comic-Con, that comes in a special display case in the shape of Darth Vader’s lightsaber.

Road & Track has other photos of the exclusive, as well as additional details. The article did not mention price, but it did say that a “select” number of exclusives would be available after Comic-Con on HotWheelsCollectors.com.

USA Today has exclusively unveiled photos of the several of Mattel’s San Diego Comic-Con 2014 exclusives, including a closer look at the Darth Vader die-cast car ($40), the unveiling of a Masters of the Universe Goat Man ($27) which comes equipped with a “spiffy hammer”, a Turbo Charged Max Steel ($20) and his sword Steel, and a DC Classic TV Series Batman Utility Belt ($125) modeled after Adam West’s 1960′s uniform. From USA Today, here’s a look at the new figures – and you can find more photos at USA Today’s site.

Entertainment Earth’s 2014 SDCC Exclusives

In 2013, Entertainment Earth took its San Diego Comic-Con presence to a new level of excitement. Although the EE booth has been a popular spot on the floor for many years, the process of revealing exclusives in the drawn out manner of last year fueled anticipation at an even greater level than in years past and we think this year will bring more of the same.

Remember that as you’re preparing your SDCC shopping list that EE exclusives often make their way into stores the weeks after Comic-Con. EE is the ultimate hub for Comic-Con exclusives, as they partner with a number of companies to bring the very best in pop culture fun to the floor. That being said, their partnerships with companies like Toys R Us make these SDCC exclusives amongst the most likely to be available in stores in August and beyond. Despite the potential availability of items after the show, it’s tough to wait when you see the items that look to be filling WB bags in the Gaslamp this July.

With that said, let’s see what Entertainment Earth has in store for Comic-Con attendees this year:

SNL The Ambiguously Gay Duo Monitor Mate Bobble Heads: Straight from Saturday Night Live and the hilarious cartoon that never would have made the cut on Saturday morning, comes that crime fighting Ambiguously Gay Duo featuring friend-of-friends Ace and Gary, saving the city from a bunch of gawkers that can’t take their eyes off them. Bif Bang Pow! presents the Saturday Night Live Ace and Gary – The Ambiguously Gay Duo Monitor Mate Bobble Head! This 4-inch scale mini resin bobble head measures about 3 1/4-inches long x 2 1/2-inches tall on a “The Ambiguously Gay Duo” cloud-themed logo base that sticks to your computer monitor with a non-damaging adhesive pad. Elevated above the base, Ace and Gary bobble as one, so it looks like they’re flying! Available for $11.99.

Hasbro SDCC Exclusives 2014

One of the most intense experiences at Comic-Con each year is the battle to get a rare spot in the Hasbro line. Last year it was reported from a number of our vendor friends that the line was capped for Hasbro in under 30 seconds on Preview Night. Yes, you read that correctly — 30 seconds. With Hasbro having some of the highest resale value of any SDCC exclusive, so it goes without saying that Hasbro is going to be one of the most popular spots this year as it is again the intersection of some of the most popular fandoms.

Whether you’re hunting Star Wars, Transformers, G.I. Joe, My Little Pony, Marvel or a number of other awesome items, Hasbro is the booth that is going to get your attention. Just remember if you want any of these awesome items, you’ll most likely need to forego a day in Ballroom 20 or Hall H to achieve it and even then it may not happen.

Over the next several weeks, Hasbro will be unveiling all of its SDCC exclusives for 2014, and we’ll update as soon as new exclusive items are announced.

With that said, let’s see what Hasbro has in store for SDCC attendees this year:

Entertainment Weekly has exclusively revealed our first look at Hasbro’s San Diego Comic-Con offerings, and just like last year, our first glimpse is from Hasbro’s Black Series collectibles line. For 2014, Hasbro will be bringing a Black Series Jabba the Hutt (which, for the record, we called in our Toy Fair recap). This 6-inch figure also comes complete with a hookah and his “cackling, diminutive sidekick Salacious Crumb”. The box features some Huttese – and what looks like enough room to place last year’s Comic-Con exclusive Black Series Han Solo in Carbonite. The Star Wars The Black Series Facebook fan page is reporting that the retail value for this exclusive will be $64.99 – so start planning now. No word yet on if the figure will be later available for sale on Hasbro’s site, but we’ll update with more details once we have them.

Here’s a look at the figure and the packaging, from Hasbro:

USA TODAY has exclusively revealed the second and third of Hasbro’s SDCC 2014 offerings, and they should please Marvel fans.

“The Thanos Imperative” Marvel Legends Infinite series: The first is a new set of Marvel Legends Infinite series 6-inch figures, based on the Marvel storyline The Thanos Imperative, this summer. The set will be priced at $99.99, and will include the Inhumans Black Bolt and Medusa, Gladiator, Blastaar, and Star-Lord.

The Infinity Gauntlet series: Additionally, Hasbro will be offering another pack of 3 3/4 inch figures from The Infinity Gauntlet, and features Nebula, Starfox, Mistress Death, and the cosmic villain Thanos, who comes equipped with his own Infinity Gauntlet. Also included in the pack is a wearable foam Infinity Gauntlet glove, for fans to try for themselves. The set is priced at $74.99.

More photos of both sets and additional information can be seen on USA TODAY, which also announced that a limited number of both sets will also be available online after the convention

Entertainment Tonight’s website, ETOnline, has exclusively unveiled the next Hasbro set of exclusives, and they rock. Literally. Hasbro will be bringing a set of six Transformers to the convention, in a Special Edition ‘Knights of Unicron’ set. All six figures – Optimus Prime, Megatron, Smooth Jazz, Soundwave, Laserbreak, and Ratbat – are transformed into “hard rockin’ robots in the universe’s greatest band, the Knights of Unicron”, according to the ETOnline write-up. Laserbreak converts into a “note-shredding electric guitar”, while Ratbat takes on the shape of the “funkiest keytar this side of Cybertron”. The packaging resembles “roadie equipment”, as well as special edition posters, stickers, a concert ticket, All-Access VIP pass, and a tell-all history booklet.

Here’s a look at the figures, from ETOnline:

TRANSFORMERS 30TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR EDITION Action Figure Collection
(Ages: 8 & up/ Approx. Retail Price: $184.99/ Available through HasbroToyShop.com or Booth #3329 at Comic-Con International in San Diego)

In honor of the 30th anniversary of the TRANSFORMERS brand, this Special Edition set presents your favorite TRANSFORMERS characters as you’ve never seen them before—as hard-rockin’ robots in the universe’s greatest band, the Knights of Unicron! The four Deluxe Scale rock god action figures—OPTIMUS PRIME, MEGATRON, SMOOTH JAZZ and SOUNDWAVE—each feature glam rock deco, metal band hair, and the titanic egos that once tore them apart. Also joining the tour are LASERBEAK, who converts into a note-shredding electric guitar and RATBAT, who converts into the funkiest keytar this side of CYBERTRON. The entire set is packaged in an amazing “roadie case,” including special edition posters, stickers, and tell-all history booklet depicting the hardest-rocking band in the history of CYBERTRON! Following the convention, a limited number will be available on HasbroToyShop.com

If you thought Hasbro was done with Transformers exclusives for this year’s SDCC, think again. Ahead of Botcon, IGN has the exclusive reveal on the next Hasbro exclusive: the Transformers Dinobots Action Figure Collection.

The set features the Dinobots in their Generation 1 glory from the 1980s, Included in the set is “Voyager scale Grimlock and Deluxe scale Snarl, Strafe, and Dinobot Slug in all of their black and gold prehistoric glory,” and special packaging that “converts into the Autobot Ark and Mount St. Hilary from the G1 animation”.

The set will run $159.99 at the HasbroToyShop booth, #3329. Take a look at the IGN post for more pics and description.

So far, the Matty Doomsday is the only thing I'm remotely interested in, however that Ambiguously Gay Duo is awesome! LOL!

Action Figure Xpress Releasing SDCC Exclusive Reverse Flash, Batman Paperweight Set

Earlier this year, AFX had opened pre-orders for a set of two mini-bust paperweights, featuring The Reverse Flash and Flashpoint Batman. The statues measure 5.25-inches-tall, and the set was originally available for pre-order for $50 for both figures. However, we’ve since learned that these figures won’t be making their debut in April as originally planned — instead, they’ll be a Comic-Con exclusive (and presumably for those who had already pre-ordered).

As first reported by Speedforce, representatives for AFX confirmed with us that the set will now be a SDCC exclusive, and while no further details about the set were revealed when we reached out for comment, we assume the figures will likely still be around $50 and available at AFX’s booth.

The representative from AFX we spoke to stated that the company had yet to unveil the full list of their Comic-Con “exclusives”, implying that AFX will once more be bringing several items to the convention. Last year, AFX brought six exclusives to San Diego Comic-Con, including a set of Iron Man 3 Minimates from Diamond Select and a bust paperweight of He-Man from Icon Heroes.

Hallmark Limited Keepsake Ornaments Announced for 2014

As far as exclusives go, some of the most sought-after at San Diego Comic-Con are the annual limited-edition Keepsake Ornaments from Hallmark. These highly detailed, and highly limited, ornaments attract long lines and quick sell-outs, so attendees should be thrilled to know that Hallmark has announced its lineup of Keepsake Ornaments for SDCC 2014. What better way to celebrate Christmas In July?

Thanks to one of our Facebook fans, we were alerted to a post by Pop Culture Media featuring a scan of Hallmark’s 2014 Keepsake Ornament lineup.

No prices or specifics on production runs were mentioned in the ad, but we’ve reached out to Hallmark for more information.

And as in previous years, the scan also says that Hallmark will be giving attendees a sneak peek of 2015′s Keepsake Ornaments at its booth

Quote:
War Machine – Iron Man’s irreplaceable ally in the sky since 1992.

Arkham’s Avenger – depicts Batman as he’s seen in the popular 2011 video game Batman: Arkham City.

Wampa – celebrates Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back on the sci-fi film’s 34th birthday

I must have the $85 Batmobile from the Arkham Knight video game. DAMN IT! I was hoping to avoid the arduous tasks of getting exclusives.

They look cool, but I'm really psyched about them as I'm not really a fan of Marvel Cosmic. Which is cool for me as it's one less thing I need to get in line for. However, if they're available on Sunday and there's no line I'll pick them up.

I just want the Thanos gauntlet with the Infinity Gems for display (that should light up). I don't really care about the figures.

For $75 they should light up. But I suppose you can sell the figures and keep the glove.

I'm hoping people star doing that on Ebay soon. I really want a couple of those figures, but not the gauntlet.

Edit: actually, it's the Galactus Engine figures that I want. I've been waiting on a couple of those in the Legends scale for a long time.
