Honestly I like Tan's run for the artwork of Green Lantern. I think it's ok...

I like it okay too.

While Tan's Hal isn't perfect, it's much better than Mahnke's.

That's my feeling every month Mahnke isn't on the book.

Okay, okay. Be that as it may, about the scripting: (spoilers follow)

(1) Damn well about time Corps Leader Jordan built himself a general staff. (2) The agony of Bro'dee Walker (no longer Saint, he says? Has he never heard of the dark night of the soul?) is a superb sub-plot, and I expect him to burst forth in azure radiance at the appropriate time. (3) The teaser about the Durlan spy on Mogo getting deeper and deeper into trouble has me hooked for issue #30 (mygawd, are we up to issue #30 already?).

(4) Gorin-Sunn is the Lantern I need to send against Microsoft for failure to continue support for my Windows XP operating system, how do I rent him?

High three for this one. Only the art held it back from a four.

Story is picking up so well! I loved it. The art kept me from fully getting into this issue. I don't hate the art, but I definitely miss Mahnke's version of Hal and the Corp.

Glad to see Vendetti knew what he was doing with having Hal mess up as Leader. Ive thought for a while (even before the Guardians went whacko) that a council of Lanterns to make decisions would be an awesome idea. Looks like that will be coming to pass soon.

I'd give this issue a solid 3.5 out of 5.

What does Gorin-Sunn's backpack do? Was this ever explained in a previous issue?
