^I thought Harbinger Down was alright. I don't remember a lot about it.

Leatherface (2017)was awful. I dread the fact that I may some day be compelled to buy it for the single reason that I own every other TCM movie. It was so far off the tone of TCM, but not in the fun/clever way of #2 or even in the so-bizarre-you-have-to-watch way of Net Gen; just bad.

The only reason I found out about Harbinger was through watching YouTube stuff and I saw the trailer as a recommendation. It was one of those rare instances where things panned out rather well.

I also saw 2 other movies- Annaconda vs Lake Placid just for shits and giggles (god love Robert Englund) and a killer croc movie that was weird but good. Let me go find the info on that. I've already forgotten.

I saw that too. I hadn't seen the LP movies (except maybe #1?), but had watched all the Anaconda movies, so I gave it a try. It was about the same quality of Anaconda 3 & 4 (not great, but not unwatchable). Englund and Yancy Butler were the best parts.

/\ word. I was happy when the CEO bitch bought it, and Bickerman ends up living after she threw him into the infested lake.
One thing I was kinda curious about though was Yancy Butler......for a female lead, she isn't all that gorgeous or beautiful as a typical female lead is supposed to be in these types of low grade horror flicks. I did some research on her, and it turns out she's had a pretty crappy existence on this earth in the past 20 years. I admired her strength in the role, and the constant back and forth with her main lieutenant, but I didn't see her as very romantic. Probably best they didn't go down that avenue anyways.

Oh, I found the croc movie I watched- it was called The Hatching (2016), and it starred the kid from the Primeval tv show. Andrew LePotts I think his name was. Anywho, this was a really weird experience as a movie...the music is so upbeat and cheery that it doesn't really inspire horror of any kind, and in the end, the crocs aren't the only bad guys. I enjoyed seeing the "other" baddies get their just dues. Also, quite a lot of comic relief if you enjoy that cheeky U.K. sense of humor. I would recommend it, but only as filler for when you are desperate for something new to watch.

Yeah, she was never a classic beauty and time hasn't helped (though she's not ugly either). I know nothing about her personal life.

She has a higher place in my mind because she was in two 90s action movies that weren't big in the box office, but I loved---Drop Zone and Hard Target. Then, she got to play Witchblade on TV right when I was reading that comic. That didn't last long, but I liked it and it cemented her name and face in my cult memory.

Dave, if you haven't seen this movie, you must see it NOW. It smacks of the Thing all over the place, and is actually quite a decent ripoff. Lance Henriksen is the star. I won't give away too many details because I'm curious what you guys think if you watch it, but I was impressed with it.
Never seen it, but maybe I'll check it out now.

Those were both really good though I was disappointed to hear Briggs say Raymond Burr was the best part of Godzilla.

And Halloween H20 premiered 20 years ago today. Jame and Tony discuss how it could have been continued:

+ YouTube Video
ERROR: If you can see this, then YouTube is down or you don't have Flash installed.

I had actually meant to celebrate this with a re-watch on August 5, but apparently that was general release and July 27 is the premier. Not sure if I'll have time to watch it today since I'll already be watching a werewolf movie and have a Netflix coming. Oh well, I watched it last fall anyway.

My goodness. Even the 20th anniversary was 20 years ago. I am getting old.

I actually liked James idea of playing it like New Nightmare and going meta.

Lol I think you strolled out of your mother sporting a pocket watch and a monocle. An old soul.

I've been called that too. I've never understood my generation. Hence the love of classic horror as well.

Just watched Seed of Chucky with my son and his girlfriend. Wow THAT was an uncomfortable movie to watch with teenagers!

^You could always follow it up with some John Waters movies to give his cameo context.

Lol funny you mention that. I had never seen this one though my son is a huge fan of the franchise and seen them many times. John Waters shows up taking scandalous photos and I blurt out, "Holy sh#t! Is that John Waters?". My son just laughed and said, "Yes it is dad!".

Now I am all impressed that he even knew who he was. My son the film buff.
