That's really sad news. He seemed like a very nice man.

gonna miss him. Duncan was THE best voice for Kilowog. My wife even thought that while the GL movie was being made...she asked wouldn't it be cool if he voiced Kilowog.

Hopefully they put more effort into their marriage then they did with Green Lantern or it'll be Splittsburg for them in a couple months.

Eh, go jump in a lake. I like the movie and will enjoy it no matter how many people tell me I'm not allowed.

It's still my guilty pleasure. If I watched movies often, if that was a thing I did, it would get watched a lot.

I don't hate it; it's just that every time I watch it, its flaws become more and more apparent.

Green Lantern has been on HBO the past few months, and I'll sit and watch portions of it. My initial opinion of the movie, 2/5 has not changed, but I just enjoy it for what it is.

Yeah, I watch a lot of movies. Since I lost my job, I watch 10-15 a week; mostly streaming as I eat lunch, get dressed, or whatever. I don't like TV, so movies are my thing.

I tend not to think of movies as completely good or bad. Instead, I tend to think along the lines "oh the acting wasn't very good but I liked this scene a lot or the set direction or whatever." GL fits in that category. I might not like XYZ about it, but when it comes up, I think "Oh, cool, the Oa part is next..."

Same here, I love the movie, I know it's flaws but it doesn't stop me from actually getting to see my favorite character in live action.

You guys summed up my feelings, too. Yeah, the movie sucked, but I still enjoy it. At the end of the day, that's really all that matters, right?

I actually found it hilarious that so many bloggers and news sites were claiming "Worst superhero movie ever!" last summer, as if they had collective amnesia.

I watched it a couple of nights ago with my son and got about halfway through it before he conked out on me. It was just then getting back to Earth when the movie starts to fall apart so I took it out.

So many great things about the movie, but they just couldn't pull it together. Not a terrible movie though.

Another big problem I have with the movie is when Hal first gets his costume and meets Tomar-Re. His working knowledge base kicks in and thoughts automatically come to him, but then he starts asking all sorts of questions that he should already know considering his working knowledge base is functioning. He asks what the central battery is and what's with all the green. I mean damn, the script couldn't stay consistent even for a few seconds? I can't believe I keep finding out more stupid stuff about this movie. What a terrible piece of garbage.

To trail off what IonFan said, I too recently had an interesting experience with a random person in a super market. He was ringing me up and noticed my GL shirt, he started talking about the fact that he'd always though GL was kind of goofy and cheesy, but that he loved the move and was really blown away by how they presented everything. I was kind of surprised.

You know, I think alot of people had that thought of Green Lantern. I know I did when I was a kid because my only experience with the character was on The Super Friends where he just made giant fly swatters or fists. I think that's why the initial script was written as a comedy for Jack Black.

It's a good thing they didn't just produce 3 great Batman movies. Otherwise that statement would seem a bit shortsighted

Also why they're the biggest studio and the studio with the most Academy Awards, and the most respected studio.
