Default Is DC Direct discontinuing action figures?

I haven't seen a new solicitation for an action figure in months. It's all statues. To further my disappointment, I haven't seen any more solicits for the other 1/1 scale Power Battery Replicas.

Is DC Direct slowly ending their lines?

Maybe with the reboot they are waiting.

Yeah, but you'd think they'd do other stuff. No news on lantern power batteries, after we saw all 9 at comic con 2 years ago.

I DO think figures based on Jim Lee's redesigns would be great, especially of Justice League, but we'll see...

I don't think so. There are plenty of upcoming DC direct waves: Brightest Day 2 & 3 and the Green Lantern series 4 & 5... and we're still awaiting for the Sinestro announcement.

These waves will hold us over until the end of the year.

We don't yet know which version of Sinestro will be in this set. Could be White Lantern or Siinestro Corps, maybe even in his classic court jester suit.

Is that the blacked out figure in the picture?

Affirmative.

It looks like it will be GL Sinestro. Perhaps he will be the new GL of Sector 2814:

My point is, they usually announce new figures every month. For the past two or 3, we haven't had ANY announcemente beyond statues. No props. No figures.

Has DCD ever done a movie figure before? Did they do the Jonah Hex figures? They didn't do any 6" Batman or Superman figures (only 12"), and I don't think they're gonna do GL either. I think Sylent is right and Sinestro is the new GL of sector 2814 and this mystery figure will be that design.

With the way they've been cancelling figures and whole lines, i would say the action figure depart is getting faded out. Chances are Mattel will become the sole maker of DC action figures. Probably why we haven't seen news on either company re-upping their contracts.

I'm hoping that with the recent restructuring of DC, and them moving most of their offices to Burbank, CA., along with the re-boot/vamp/whatever of their line-up, they are holding off on announcing anything new for the time being. Either way, we shall find out during ComiCon

Well, if they're straight up stopping, I'm selling all my Blackest Night figs and using the money to catch up on the DCUC and Green Lantern Classics I've been passing up for DC Direct.

What figures/lines have been canceled? The only thing close to canceled is the white lantern flash and batman but they were just made con exclusives.

Exactly. I'm pretty sure all the news regarding future waves will be released at SDCC. There's too much of a fan following to completely discontinue the line.

Well....I read in a report on Bleeding Cool (link in the other comics forum to article) that DCD will begin working on figures from the redesign once all the looks are finalized.

They've cancelled all of the VG figures. You know they make figures outside of comic stuff right?
