I have two half brothers, but they are both like 20 years older than me and we didn't grow up together. I had always wanted a brother closer to me in age by 2 or 3 years. I think I would have been a different, better person in the long run.

No!

I want to start discussing stuff without the spoiler tags, but obviously, if there is a member who hasn't seen it, I don't want to spoil it for them!

Seeing as how I was the one who requested spoiler tags (and thank you everyone for being respectful of that) and have now seen the movie, I think we're good. After reading the last few pages it seems everyone who wanted to see the movie has, and otherwise the rest don't care.

Spoiler tags off? I'll leave it up to West or Kuhan to change the title, if not done by tomorrow afternoon I'll do it.

That said, I quite enjoyed the movie. It was nothing spectacular, but it was fun and a good continuation of the Star Wars universe. I'd rank it at #4 of my favs, behind the original trilogy but much better than the latest batch of movies by far.

Yeah, it's open season. The movie has been out nearly a month. That's plenty of time.

Haven't seen it, but don't worry about me. I might not see it until it hits BD. Not sure yet. I'm only going if my folks want to see it and they've gone back and forth on it. Mum saw the trailer again the other day (after a few weeks of strongly agreeing with me that there should be no ep. 7) and said "maybe we should see it."

Could this just be the general Star Wars thread, then? It's being used that way anyway and I couldn't find the old one (probably lost in the purge).

Yeah that's a good idea 👍🏻

I would recommend going on a cheap night if you're iffy, at the very least it's an entertaining film.

I've seen The Force Awakens four times and I want to see it again in theaters before it leaves.

There are so many moments of the film I enjoyed and it moves pretty quickly. I can't wait until this is available for home video.

I've bought a 6inch Kylo Ren Black Series figure and thinking about getting the Hot Toys set of Rey and BB8. I think Rey is an awesome character.

^ Nice. My tip my hat to you.

The most I've seen a movie in a theater is Top Gun, which was 7 times.

My record is Revenge Of The Sith at 8 times. I'm determined to outdo it.

I think mine was for The Simpsons which I saw either 3 or 4 times. Even that felt excessive to me and I love that movie. After two I start thinking of the fact that I'm going to own that movie in six months anyway and I could be spending that money on something else (including even more movies ).

The most times I've seen anything in the theater is likely twice. I'm trying to think of something I saw more than twice in the theater and failing. And the ones I saw twice were either a.) something from my childhood that came to the local cheap theater when I was an adult and I took one or more of my kids to see, or b.) the Special Editions of the Original Star Wars Trilogy (assuming you count those as the same movies as the originals, otherwise, I saw the originals once, and the SE versions once).

Oh, wait, I also went to see a Toy Story 1+2 double feature when they released it in 3D (and took my oldest son), so I've seen those twice as well.

I saw the prequels and The Mummy Returns twice in theaters. Can't even begin to count how many times I've watched my top ten at home, though. Jaws is in the 60's somewhere.

Ha! I was actually thinking of you and when looking at my Simpsons collection the other day and pulled out the movie. I figured you'd seen it a bunch of times at the theater. When Homer jumped the gorge I was the only person in the theater cheering like an idiot. My wife was embarrassed as hell but I didn't care!

Star Wars movies and LOTR are the top ones for me. A couple of Bond flicks I saw a lot. The 2005 King Kong I saw four times. I saw The Thing prequel three times. I've seen dozens of movies twice in the theater, but I admittedly go to the movies a LOT.
