Yo.

I dont know about that man; neither promotion have shown wat their events R gonna be like (which is really annoying me btw), so multiple day-visits might not be worth it.

That may be true but for the price it's nto bad. I mean 50 bucks for all three days or 40 for saturday. What's the extra 10 bucks? Plus Sunday I always get really good deals on things that people dont wanna carry or ship back

TY, also never been to a con. Are there any restrictions on what they will sign?(like number of item limit and stuff) I had an idea that I'd have Johns sign my GL 50 Lee Variant cover(I have two of them but will have one signed) and a few BN issues and have Lee sign the GL 50 issue and Reis the BN issues.

Don't go crazy with getting your lifelong collection signed, bring a polite amount of books to be fair to both them and the people in line behind you.

What mr.jasontodd said. My advice would bring a max of three things you want signed. I attended my first con and saw people with their long boxes and that holds up the line for everyone else, don't be that guy

They just announced that Tricia Helfer and William Shatner are going to be in attendance. I would imagine that the line for them is going to be insane.

If they're not promoting anything, they'll be charging for autographs and pics. I'd like to have a pic with Tricia Helfer or Shatner.

Since they're both still pretty relevant as far as acting, I'd imagine Helfer is asking for $30 and Shatner is asking for $50.

I think Shatner would ask more than that. Adam West and Mark Hammil were charging $100 for their autographs.

Yeah, you're probably right. Even though Shatner killed his wife (allegedly), he remains pretty popular and has been on some recent major network tv shows.

My experience, is that they'll sign for free. Typically, the max is 5 comic books, and remove the comic books from the bags before you meet the artist. Some people as for sketches on top of that, which they may or may not be able to do. If you plan to get a sketch, you're chances are better in your the first few people in line.

Bring a camera and ask if you can take a pic with them. They usually allow you to do so, like W. West pic with Grant Morrison.

there are some @$$holes too though. Steve Austin turned down a bunch of fans. He stopped taking pictures and would only sign posters of some dvd movie...

yeah, it's usually the non-comic celebrities that aren't fan friendly and charge for pics and autographs. I remember Sylent was lucky with the King Jerry Lawler, because the dude that after Sylent that asked Lawler for a pic was Big timed.

Wink

I'll have my camera, see who I can take picture of/with. And where do you see about William Shatner being there.
