Looks better than the last couple of issues, hopefully we get more than one page of Hal and Sinestro. Though I'm pretty sure we won't.

My opinion of Kyle in a nutshell, regardless if they call him "Torchbearer", make him an Honor Lantern, turn him part Hispanic, transform him into Ion or "Spectrum Master", or throw the daughters of comics' first Green Lantern and Hal's nemesis at his feet.

However you take Simon's storyline, I like the character and am looking forward to his interaction w/ B'dg, who we actually got to see as a rookie post-Rebirth. The circle is complete!

Wait you don't like Kyle but like Simon? How does that make any sense?

Anyways this preview looks really good and I hope we get 1 page or more with Hal and Sinestro in this.

I love the cover and liking more of Agent Fed and Simon with each issue.

I would actually love it if Baz and B'dg end up being full time sector partners.

That'd be great...provided it's in a sector far away. And never referenced in actual GL comics. Have them show up on Oa for Corps meetings.

It's interesting, Hal tried something similar in the now defunct Emerald Dawn when he visited his friend Andy in the hospital (Andy was paralyzed in the accident when Hal was driving drunk) Hal tried to cure his friend but it didn't work (could it be he gave up to early?)

Definitely liked it more. It's still annoying that his name isn't cleared but I liked the interaction of these two lanterns.

Not bad. Kyle also did soemthing similar, although the guy he helped wound up becoming a supervillain (Purgatory). Although rousing someone from a coma is different than that. It's in somewhat stark contrast to how often Hal used to mind wipe people in the Silver Age. Well, a lot of things are like that in GL verse.

Still, it seems somewhat in conflict with Jhon using the ring to create a Manhunter / Psion hybrid monster at the end of War of the GLs. If it really can't be used to cure someone, why could it be used to make a monster?

Just read it. This issue was ACTUALLY pretty good. It felt like the plot actually WENT somewhere! Great art as always, but the story (despite me not giving a shit about the main character) was very well done. All the beats of the story were exectuted very well. Things wrapped up and the pieces are put into place. Too bad it took several issues of nothing to get here.

BTW, still ONE page of Hal and Sinestro. I almost got excited when I saw Tomar Re, thinking he'd get out of there with them. Then it dawned on me, WHY is Re in Blackhand's ring, a ring that didn't exist in the Crisis? And why is Sinestro responsible for his death? That couldn't be another...geoffcon could it? Sigh...

Still, solid issue. The first solid issue in a long time. I'd give GL #16 a B-.

But Johns was behind the New 52. And he's decided that Tomar-Re should get a new death. So ...
