I read it tonight. Very solid issue. I gave it 3 stars, and that's meant as a good solid issue, worth the money, that was worth reading. Right now, I'm more happy with GLC than GL which I feel is average.

While nothing mind-blowing, the new creative team is a huge breath of much needed air.

The fact that both the Khund and the Durlans have been brought back into the fold this early on makes me very happy. It's nice to see some of the other races in the DCU get some face time in GL + GLC, instead of everything being "Corps Vs Corps" or "GL/Guardian" related.

I'd love to see appearances by the Dominators, Spider Guild and the Vega System in the future.

I'm really glad of the way John is portrayed, however don't u think he has been captured n tortured 1s too many times? Body captured by Parallax in Rebirth,In Scw, trapped in Xanshi, tied in brightest day, captured by cyborg Superman, tortured by Krona to Mogo for the universe and Glc reputation, caught again in the new 52, tortured n forced to kill again, 2 times in a row, caught n tortured by Voltdoom. Now caught by the Durans with power ring removed??? Why must John always has to be defeated easily caught and tortured in every storyline, making him the Weakest of them all Green lantern?! Dc can you stop this capture torture Shit all over John Stewart and do nothing with his origins, background and his relationships with his corps mates and friends?! Give the man his dues!

Ahh, he'll be out of this within pages of the next issue. This won't be an arc of him in captivity.

Great comics, yes. In one hand Stewart, in another Fatality.
I love the durlans.
Some Natu ... And some good new starting point for Salhaak.
Maybe he will make a new corps. His own corps S.corps ^^ .
Seriously I will love to see darkstar corps once more.
The newby are her. But I don't like the fact that they are to quickly présented.
And for my fate, The ring not working have impact in another GLC comics (Great but I don't read the other title anymore).
And with the fact that Relic and the next GL crossover will make their way in GLC, new we have some Entity issue to follow in GLNG.
Not the way for keeping me in the tilte, guys.

I pretty much mirror everyone else's thoughts concerning GLC vs. GL. While I went away from GL with a very underwhelming feeling, I smiled at the end of GLC. This is the first time in awhile I've found John Stewart to be an intriguing character. I love the fact that he made the distinction of being a marine and not a soldier. And that he was done following orders for the sake of it, think it's a perfect time for a rebellious John Stewart.

I agree with Orion that the gladiator GL is all sorts of awesome, and although a simple character, is entertaining, without being mind-numbing. I'm pretty intrigued by all of the new characters in GLC actually, much more so than what's been introduce in GL.

My major complaint, along with GL, is this is still based around the Rainbow Corps. Way too much. Now the freaking White Lantern is getting involved...UGH.

It was a nice touch of authenticity since every Marine I've known would make that correction. [I've also heard at least one Navy vet correct that he was not a soldier.]

And there's no such thing as a FORMER Marine. John is a Marine. Period.

Shit issue, I think I'll be dropping GLC now. The only good thing is the cover. A shame the art style wasn't used in the book itself.

Speaking of the cover...

The only good thing in your post is..... er ... nothing. Get lost and read Captain Carrot comics.

Very good issue. From a good creative team. This spotlight was long overdue. I hope it will last.
