Default The Star Sapphires

Just want to put this out there.

I understand why, with their history, the Star Sapphires started as females ONLY. But now that the Corps has grown, why are NO MEN being recruited? Are we to believe that there are NO sentient males in the universe that have lost love and need to be filled by the Sapphire? I know these artists are creative enough to adapt the Sapphire out fit so it doesn't look like a dude in a bikini. Just saying....after BN is over, we need to see some men get the Violet Ring.

I would not mind seeing some males as well. But apparently they are incapable of love. Plus it doesnt help thatanytime someone mention a male Sapphire people automatically assume he will rock a bikin of some sort or aparently a male Sapphire can only be gay. Many people here are guilty of just that.

a point, but to be fair it DOES look like EVERYONE who becomes an SS gets a suit that covers up as little as possible........and Miri's looks to have been the most conservative of them to date.

Right but again only because they make women Sapphires and let's be real how often do we see a female superhero fully clothed that isnt a teenager. Hell look at WW. She must have some damn good double sided tape on that bra. With all the jumping and fighting and running I though she would have given herself black eyes by now. If she sneezes that whole costume is gonna snap

Oh Hahahah It's true though. I swear they all sat down and said
"okay how are we gonna me her costume look?"

"Well we could give her a few bits of string for her naughty bits"

"Fuck that just take the Mystique route....paint that shit on."

Why does both sexes have to be a part of everything? It would make a better story why women only are Star Sapphires, so tired of all this PC bullshit.

I'll be over here waiting for WW to sneeze.

It's not so much about 'PC Bullshit' but how a male Star Sapphire's approach from his female counterparts.
Worst case scenario is a Gambit-style lothario
<- Or worse still, now that I really consider it, Oliver Queen
(trying to think of a good male type, The Dread Pirate Roberts from A Princess Bride perhaps?)

I look at it like the Witchblade character. Women are given this power thoughout the universe, and on the off chance a man gets it he probably stole it. You don't need both genders for every Corps, it's what makes the Star Sapphires cool. Now a non-humanoid SS.... I don't even think we've seen that yet. That probably needs to happen in comics before a dude get's a violet ring....
