Could it be that the New 52 / Pandora didn't delete Connor but instead rearranged things so that Classic!Ollie was renamed Robert and Connor became Ollie?

No probably not, he's not a Japanese-African-American for a start (well, the colourists haven't indicated that, but we all know how reliable they can be when it comes to Connor).
