BTW, that's John Pickard as Mazo -- the guy who keeps bitching about "Lucky Dave." Charles Marquis Warren, who produced the first season of the Gunsmoke television series, tried Pickard out for the role of Matt Dillon. He said Pickard would have gotten it except that he did poorly in a test scene with Amanda Blake. That was fortunate, because as John Wayne said, James Arness was the only man for that role.
