Well of course it's unnecessary. It's unnecessary for the movie itself to exist, but it's happening. They want to create a JLA universe, and in order to do that they have to start introducing other members.

How they do it is what matters, though. We have zero information regarding the ins and outs of how they'll introduce them. Hell, we don't even know how they're introducing Batman and his name's in the title of the movie. So, not sure how we can begin to criticize them.

I don't know about that. I do know that they can't go with the bathing suit Wonder Woman costume or the Andrianne Palicki version of the costume.

I really like the look of this Wonder Woman Costume.

Well, that's the other end of the narrow-minded spectrum, saying that there's only one person to fill the role. While that can certainly be your favorite, there is in no way only one right choice for Diana. I maintain Bridget Regen as my personal favorite, but Jaimie Alexander is good, too, and I'm sure there are a few more who could fill the role like a glove.

You should be worrying over the writing for the character and how they intend to move forward with her in the future. If that fails, then, yes, worry about the actress, but not before.

This is exactly the same thing that happened when Affleck was announced as Batman.

Yeah, no, they have to drop that like a bad habit.

I know. Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman is to me as Ben Affleck as Batman is to other people.

I'll probably get over it eventually

Yes, but I have strong reason to believe that if Wonder Woman and Flash are in this movie, they'll be wasted.

I don't know if they'll be wasted. Introduced, certainly. I hope they're more than just a cameo like Wolverine in X-Men: First Class.

Yeah, but he also crash dieted for The Machinist (and there was makeup involved). That wasn't his baseline.

Man, I must really be out of touch because I had to look up Gal Gadot and these two, though apparently I've seen them all in movies.

Well, in your defense, there are probably precious few actors that you HAVEN'T seen in movies at this point, right? You can't be expected to remember them ALL.

Zack Snyder will probably send her to Gym Jones to get some muscle build up so I have no doubt she'll look the part.

True. I seem to remember celebrity names better from a decade or (especially) more ago more often though.

That depends, because perhaps it looks like to me, looking at who else they tested for the role, none of them were what you would call buff, or full figure woman.

This could be Snyder/Goyers take on the WW character, which could be a completely different direction from what you see in the comics.

They took Superman in another direction, all rumours suggest Batman is going in a new direction, so why stop there?

I don't think she will hulk up lol, besides the fact woman have less testosterone than men, so it's far harder for them to gain muscle, not saying they can't, but it's tough, and especially when you're a natural skinny person. I forgot the actual term of it, theirs three types - skinny, average, fat. Again I can't remember the actual terms. I used to be into training a few years ago. It just comes down to genetics really, like some crazy cyberpunk movie, some of us get dealt a bad hand, and some get the genes of gods. With hard work anybody can gain though, it's just for some it's easier. Bale looks like that type to me.

Also they clearly haven't picked her for her acting skills, people are forgetting it seems these castings aren't just for MOS2. There for the DC movie-verse. Can this lady carry a franchise? I just don't see it. Her role in MOS2 will be probably be like Faora.

I loved Faora in MOS easily the best thing in that wreck of a movie for me, however I would expect more for your 3rd biggest character.

We will have to wait and see, can't say I like what's been going on so far.

I'm not saying she should Hulk up. But she needs to be fit to be Wonder Woman.

Denise Milani did dress up as Wonder Woman before, but I think she's pushing 40 now.

I rather have Olivia Munn as Wonder Woman,

That's Batfleck and Wonder "Gal."

I haven't heard anyone described them as inspired choices.
