Anyway good news that the sequel was delayed for nine months, maybe now they can fix up the clearly mess of a script.

I don't think mos was ever delayed, it was intentionally pushed far out iirc, and you can't call it a mess of a script if you have no real indication of what it entails. All we have right now is rumor and hearsay of this character or that character in it, but you have no real clue as to the capacity of their role in the film nor the amount of time relegated to them. Plus there the speculation that mos 2 will just evolve into a full fledged jl movie and it will male sense for the characters they chose or all this rumor mill is for the eventual jl movie and not really for mos 2.

A delay will only help. Right now it's got "trainwreck" written all over it, but maybe more time will make for a better movie.

Some Spoiler-Filled Batman Vs Superman Plotline Rumors

Lot of spoilers there but I'd take it with a whole pound of salt considering the source (Latino Review apparently got it from a message board).

Eisenberg as Luthor just screams disaster.

Eisenberg always plays awkward teenagers.

I guess they are playing Luthor more like Zuckerberg, less like Trump. It's not what I would have done. But it's an interesting pick. I have to see him in action.

He won't be bald. If Amy couldn't be bothered to dye her hair, Jesse won't be bald.

No matter who was cast in the role, comic fans would be pissed. See Heath Ledger as Joker.

He can play the smart ass genius. I can see it. He'll probably be a super young mogul

Yeah but he's like the worst possible option, they should've cast Heisenberg instead of Eisenberg

Then they've already lost me. Only one man gets the right to play Luthor with hair...HACKMAN.

I can't speak for the other people who are shocked by the news, but I wasn't pissed at Heath Ledger being cast. Because he was a relatively unknown actor to me at the time. I've seen Eisenberg in plenty of movies, he has no range at all. He plays uppity, angsty, anxiety riddled assholes. With absolutely zero alpha tendencies, which is what makes Luthor such a great character, his alpha dominancy and how that gives him the belief he's in Superman's league. If he has a range I just haven't seen up until now, not sure how he's going to portray a competent, well executed Luthor.

He can do intelligence, cocky, pretentious, and egotistical but can he do intimidating? I have to confess I've never seen a movie where he's done that. If he can then it's a fantastic choice.

If the luthor character is played as a behind the scenes kind then he doesn't need to be intimidating.

And I still don't like a Joker that doesn't laugh (even though I didn't know/care much about his casting beforehand).

Well this is...different. I was hoping for Heisenberg but instead we are getting Eisenberg...
