    • Moore was the oldest of all of them, even though he was 3rd. I wanted all 6 of them to live forever. I can't imagine a world without Connery.

        Yep. This is very sad.

Me too. Connery was my favorite, but I started with and always loved Moore too. I watched Live and Let Die (his Bond premier) recently, so I'm torn tonight between watching The Spy Who Loved Me (his best, imho) and Octopussy, which was the first Bond movie I became obsessed with as a kid.

        • Sir Roger Moore was my James Bond as a kid and therefore is my definite James Bond.

          R.I.P. Sir Roger Moore.

Thank you for make the character charming, charismatic and fun.

          • I did a marathon last year of all 24 EON films, the B+W 50s and comedy 60s Casino Royales, and NSNA. If I hadn't done that I'd be doing a Moore marathon right now.

            • Gonna miss him. He was the first Bond I knew, and Spy Who Loved Me will probably always be in my handful of top choices for the franchise.

His age was a huge problem by the end of his run. When he learned that he was older then the girl of the mother he was in bed at the beginning of AVTTK, he decided to call it quits.

Pretty sad news. Easily one of the more memorable characters from the original Clerks, sucks she only ever acted in one other film.

Roger Moore dying makes me wanna go back and watch all those Bond films again...

Ha. I never heard that before and I usually know that kind of stuff (I knew he wanted out for a while). Thanks for that.

Supposedly he was pretty good with fans and particularly good at dealing with all the publicity that comes with being 007.

He was also a pacifist who hated guns! I always thought that was kind of funny, just like it is that Lleylyn (Q) considered himself a Luddite and always struggled with the technobabble.'

Do it! Do it. It's funny, I don't revisit them as often as I used to (in HS, I had a friend whose sole connection was our love of Bond and we would do massive marathons on summer break) because I'm so familiar with them, but then when I pop one in again (like FYEO right now), I always get into it.

                      • Ironically, I put my 007 theme song CD in my truck on Friday and was listening to it off and on all week. I've updated it a few times, and this one has everything except Skyfall and Spectre's songs.

Wow. Sad. Always loved that band. Rock is lesser today.
