Default Custom 1:1 Green Lantern Power Battery (Lego)

So, I wanted a 1:1 Power Battery. I'm not paying 200-1000 for one. So, I decided to see if I could craft it in Lego - I made a prototype via Lego Designer, and I think it looks pretty good - I'm going to order the pieces to build it myself, but I'm curious to know if you guys know of a LED light source that would fit inside a 4x4 lego square. There's a door at the top in the center of the lantern design that allows for a light source to be dropped into it.

I'd like for it to be easily retrievable, so if I can tie a string around it or net it in hosiery or something, that'd be a plus. (that way I don't have to turn the battery upside down and shake to get it out).

Question 2! The handle. Anyone know of a cheap plastic or wire that would work with my Lego holes? I'm not planning on hefting it anywhere, it's just being made for display.

Feel free to add questions or comments!

EDIT: My wife suggested , so I'm good on the light bit.
