...and NONE of these 6 new titles belong to the GL verse?! FO' shame, Geoff Johns, FO' Shame!!!

Come on, a book titled "Green Lantern Corps: Reserve" focusing on the "spare" lanterns that are always flying around Oa wouldnt work?... because lets face it, if all lanterns are guarding their sectors ...who the eff are these lanterns wandering on Oa all the time?!

Or a "Blackest Night: The Hunt" book la Justice League Dark? -- A group of misfits (maybe, Solomon Grundy, The Question, Huntress, Black Lighting, Green Arrow and Major disaster) hunting down the remaining black lanterns that Nekron left behind?

---anyways, I believe that, with the exception of Batman Inc, Earth 2 (just cuz there are SO many people who love the JSA, and for pete's sake I can't understand why!?) and maybe, just maybe World's Finest (gotta love PowerGirl), all the other titles will also face termination within 6 to 8 months. What's wrong with DC? Can't they spot a train wreck before they publish it?!

It's not like the cancelation of any of the titles mentioned comes as a surprise... I mean, did anybody read OMAC?... YUCK!

O.M.A.C. is the best of the titles that are being cancelled and I certainly enjoy it more than some of the stuff that'll still be around post-May.

OMAC was so much fun. Sad to see it go. I may give Earth 2 a shot, I've always wanted to read about the good ole JSA.

I do love the JSA, but I've got a bad feeling about this.

James Robinson loves Golden Age Earth 2 JSA stuff, it's his bread and butter. His Shade maxi series is great, and I'm sure this will be good to.

Right, but the focus of the book is on Earth 2 as a whole and adventures through the multiverse. I've got a feeling editorial may give the JSA short shrift.

I loved O.M.A.C.

I read both the original series from Kirby and the new one. They cancelled it at the exact same number they cancelled Kirby's original book...that's just trolling <_<

But, I did want a book set somewhere in the Multiverse, so Earth 2 is a good start.

If the same James Robinson who has been writing The Shade these past couple of months shows up, I'm all in.

This is completely and utterly off topic, and I'm aware I'm adding nothing to this thread by bringing this up, but every time somebody uses that expression now I always think of the Mythbusters episode where they demonstrated that you actually CAN.

I love that show.

Like Hypotherion said, it depends on WHICH James Robinson shows up to the party.

If it's the same Robinson who wrote Starman and The Golden Age, I'll be Robinson's bitch for life. If it's the guy who did his Cry For Justice and JLA run? I'm in trouble.

I finally got around to reading The Shade #4 and it was excellent (though part of that could've been the Darwyn Cooke art I suppose). I'm now looking forward to Earth 2.

Speaking of which, four issues in and we still don't have a definitive answer on which Earth The Shade takes place. On the one hand, its continuity can be traced back to Starman, which featured characters from DC's Golden Age and their successors. Also, #4 had Golden Age characters Vigilante and Madam Fatal. On the other hand, #1 had Deathstroke, and wih the exception of Mikaal, no Starman has been .entioned so far.

I don't think Jack Knight exists anymore. I'm guessing Mikaal is and always was the DCnU Starman.

Which is just as well. Jack, if he will exist, should exist on Earth 2. Or what passes for an Earth 2.

Except for Alan and Jay, I am really not familiar with the rest of the JSA or Earth 2's superheroes and characters. But since DCnu will retcon this alternate universe, it would be interesting to find how this world will turn out. And Alan Scott should be part of this Earth-2 as this world's Green Lantern.

Yep. I agree, though it looks like that ship might have already sailed.

Yeah it does! The DCnU is a total clusterfuck. We have a Batman who has been opperating for five years and gone through 5 Robins in that time, including a son. To me, the JSA is more important than almost every other one of DC's properties, save GL. I've always liked the idea of the JSA being placed on an Earth 2. Why? It's borders generally shelter them from all of the stupidity that engulfs the rest of DC's books.

I'd give my left nut to have Roy Thomas be the editor in charge of a line of E2titles.

The Shade is more a specialty project that James Robinson wanted to. Plus it was in development years before the new 52 was even thought off. Hence the shoehorned in use of Deathstroke. I'm treating this series as a special island that doesn't touch anything.
