Default War? Huh! Good god, y'all!

What is is good for? Absolutely nothin'! Say it again!

Are you folks ready for the endless wars in Green Lantern to be retired permanently?

Have we had any wars in the two current titles? Other than the Larfleeze "Bottled Light" storyline, which was only marginally corps vs corps, it seems that war storylines have been minimal. However, I'm wondering if the recent Romat Ru/Soranik storylines are setting up Sinestro Corps War 2?

The problem is actually bigger than just wars. It's the idea that the more super-heroes you have fighting something, the better your story will get. That just ain't so.

I canīt really call "war" when it involves at best, a few dozen individuals.

When you put dozens of characters in a story, you can't give them any characterization They's just going to be drawings on the pages.

But yes, you're right about having a dozen characters fight another dozen characters and calling it a "war." That's bombastic and silly.

It's less a war and more just some feuding with lanterns at this point. It only bothers me when the storytelling is overall poor.

Yeah it's been awhile since we've had a legit war come out of the GL books. I agree it isn't wars and using too many characters at a time, but generally lackluster storytelling. Even when EVS is on pencils even, it just feels like nothing's really going on. The GLC fighting Starros and Brainiac should've been big. That thing with the New Gods should've been better.

It also feels like they're trying to do everything they should've been doing the last few years with the Lanterns nobody asked for. Baz and Cruz have already had more issues on Earth, just since Rebirth, than Hal Jordan's got in a GL title since the very beginning of vol. 4. After they made a big deal about Johns visiting Edwards Air Force Base, and getting Hal back to his roots... feels like a joke.
