  • Deadpoll: What is your Favourite Film Batsuit Now?

    Lewis Wilson (1943)

    Robert Lowery (1949)

    Adam West (1966-1968)

    Michael Keaton First Suit (1989)

    Michael Keaton Second Suit (1992)

    Val Kilmer First Suit (1995)

    Val Kilmer Sonar Suit (1995)

    George Clooney First Suit (1998)

    George Clooney Arctic Suit (1998)

    Christian Bale First Suit (2005-2008)

    Christian Bale Second Suit (2008-2012)

    Ben Affleck (2016)

I missed these Deadpolls and since a new Batsuit has bee revealed (now in colour), I decided to make one! Note I added all the classic pre Keaton suits this time to avoid bollocking but I avoided fanfilm suits as the list would go on forever.

From what I've seen so far with the Batfleck suit, I gotta put it as my #1.

    1) Batfleck
    2) Batman Begins suit
    3) Keaton second batsuit
    4) TDK/TDKR batsuit
    5) Keaton first batsuit

That's my problem, I haven't seen it in motion yet so I can't rate it in comparison to the others.

I agree. The new one might rate high, but it would be nice to see how it moves.

I find it hard to judge, anyway. For instance, the '66 batsuit was fine for the show, but it wouldn't have fit for the Burton or Nolan films. I like '89 a lot too, but the non-turnability is annoying (especially in retrospect).

Well unless it moves dreadfully, I doubt it can really knock the scores down.

For the record I really love the logo for Robert Lowery, I like its "separation" stick lines which I feel the "City of Scars" paid homage to (my favourite logo).

But yeah, Affleck is my favourite costume by far, it embodies the comicbook and isn't silly looking or has no floppy ears. I'd say my favourite pre-Keaton costume is Robert Lowery, it doesn't look that bad actually and I'd even go so far as to say it was cutting edge for its time. I feel Adam Wests costume was a fucking joke and a massive step back, it would look bad in the 1930s. It's awful. I'd say my second least favourite costume is Clooney's arctic costume. It's so garish.

If I had to pick a second favourite, it would either be Bales TDK/TDKR costume or Keatons first costume, probably Keaton coming third to be honest. I didn't really like the Begins costume though, it felt too primitive for its time and too rubbery.
