Default Wonder Woman Blackest Night figure?

Just looking at my DC Direct booklet from San Diego... what are your theories?

The position of her right arm is a little funny... maybe she's going to be holding something... like an Indigo staff, perhaps?

She has some kind of armbands on her left arm. Who other than Sinestro Corps wear those?

Yeah... someone refresh my memory, what happened to Golden Age Wonder Woman in Infinite Crisis?

It might be Genocide, whose body just went missing...

For those not aware, Genocide was reanimated from Wonder Woman's corpse... retrieved from the future.

Until I hear anything else that gives some more away for the story, I'm just going by what I can see, and that armband might be some kind of clue.

But other than the Sinestro Corps, the only other large armbands I see come from these guys

But somehow I don't see Larfleeze killing her so easily..

The armband screams Sinestro Corps to me. And I don't see Diana being a death to Larfleeze(or anyone for that matter).

Doesn't seem like a Sinestro Corps armband at all to me... if you look at the image here, it's like she has two armbands, one right next to the other. And the Orange Lanterns don't have armbands at all... they just have the sleeve thingy.

It does look like whatever she's wearing, she's at least partially in her Amazon-esque body armor with the skirted thing... you can see one of the prongs by her waist, and a strap around her thigh.

Hmm... I never noticed those armbands before. Could be a good clue. However she's wearing the tassle type skirt thing going on like when she wears her armor. But Donna always wears armbands like that though... Could actually be Donna and not Diana. It can't just simply be Diana wearing armor either, then they wouldn't hide it like this.

Seeing as we already have two Black Lanterns in that same wave, I don't think that's it. It has to be some big change, or else she wouldn't be blacked out. So I'm going for Indigo or Violet. But we already have a Star Sapphire from Earth/2814.

Achilles is the new champion for the gods so... She might need some help during The Blackest Night. My vote is for Indigo Lantern Diana.

Could just be the arm wrappings of the Indigos as well.

An interesting twist though, Wonder Woman might be the one who takes the Orange Battery away from Larfleeze.

Just holding it makes the owner overcome with greed in general. And if anyone is fighting Larfleeze then they would have to take his battery away.

We know she's not going to be a Black Lantern otherwise they would have put that in the title. Then again, her boots look a lot like J'onn and Firestorm's. Check this:

Remember, in Infinite Crisis a lot of the world was scared of her after the news kept streaming her twisting Lord's head 180.

Sinestro Wonder Woman!

Johns said that something BIG is coming for Wonder Woman- a character defining moment. I don't think it'll be something on the "negative" end of the spectrum. My personal guess would be Indigo- as her original mission was to promote peace. She'll be the Tribe's representative to Earth.

Just my thought.

Did he say that about Wonder Woman or are you referring to that vague comment about a woman during Blackest Night?

Did we get some kind of confirmation that Ted would be featured in the Wonder Woman mini?

I think Indigo fits WW better than any of the other Corps. It doesn't look like a Sinestro armband, nor do I see her accepting the ring if it comes to her -- I would think she would have enough willpower to fight it off if it tries to take her without asking nicely.

And who says they would have announced it in the title if it was a Black Lantern? That would be a major spoiler -- not a minor one like it was for J'onn and Earth 2 Supes, because those characters were already dead, whereas Wonder Woman most definitely is not. If she's supposed to die, I could definitely see them wanting to keep a lid on it for as long as possible.

I doubt they'd kill her, though. But who knows what they have planned at this point? Can't wait to find out.
