Default Red Hood and The Outlaws

Anyone else giving this a shot? The best first issue in my opinion.

I quite liked the banter between Jason and Roy, but if they [the creative team, as well as Jason and Roy] keep treating Kori like a sex puppet I'm dropping it.

honestly. i've given this book 2 issues to show me something, ANYTHING of worth and all I've been treated too is characters I don't really recognize a story line that's hazy at best and not much else...
I'm dropping it in favor of other things coming out in the coming months.

Didn't like the first issue (thought it was bottom of the barrel really) but got lured back in by the art. While the art continues to be great the writing is at best mediocre, which is disappointing cause I think the book could have potential. Anyways dropped.

Number 3# was pretty great. Is anyone else still currently read the series?

Actually yes, I'm almost surprised, given how ambivalent I was to the first issue, but #2 and #3 have drawn me in a little further.
I'll admit, I'm still a bit dubious about the writers' attitude to Kori and Roy but if you take the point of view that in Roy's case, he's joined the team straight out of Rehab and is using the team as part of his continuing rehab then he makes some sense... I still don't like the cap.

Jason though is my favourite Robin. I'll admit that I hadn't read much involving him until very recently, but since I picked up this title (mainly for Roy's involvement), I've gone back and read a fair bit.
There was a moment in the recent Young Justice cartoon where Dick admits that he doesn't want to be Batman, it's not the type of person he wants to become - whereas Jason was, before his death, the perfect person to inherit the cowl. He still is as far as I'm concerned.

His most cherished memory was perfect. Certainly a more innocent time for him and Bruce.

Oh dear. The title picked up quite well for Death of the Family and Requiem but I really don't like the turn it took erasing Jason's memories - they've basically taken a character who had the potential to be a very interesting study and thrown away anything that made him interesting.

Now I hope this is temporary and this is just another test - i.e. he must search through his past from a point of view of an outsider, someone who never had those experiences, in order to appreciate how each and every one made him who he is and how each one contributed to his strengths.

As for Roy and Ollie's history? Well, the annual threw a lot of generic flashbacks and no real introspection into their relationship or what was really going on in their heads. Roy and Ollie (ignoring the improvement in his own monthly title) are still two dimensional placeholders with funny bows.
