The shading and color went a little overboard on Hal's abdomen. The original sketch is perfectly proportioned, but it looks alien in the final image.

On the flip side, Carol's design is eye-catching without being comically sexualized like some of the SS designs of the past.

My favorite SS costume is the one Fatality wore in GL:NG. It's attractive and sensual without being ridiculous. Carol's new costume is reminiscent of that minus the Corps symbol, of course.

I liked Carol's first Blackest Night Star Sapphire costume, or the second one she wore with Kyle Rayner. This costume seems to be a throwback, and Carol cut her hair (again).

Joe Staton was one of the best. I get how some people don't like his art for how stylized looking it could be, but I think he's a really great cartoonist. He always makes such expressive characters, he draws great figures, and his action is really dynamic.

There were so many good comics back in the mid to late 80 and even up into the early 90s. It was like a way different (and better) scene than now.

I guess in keeping, my favorite Star Sapphire design is the Bruce Timm one.
