I didn't really want to make a massive Amazon order, but the shipping on the gnome (for my mother's birthday) was almost half the price of the item, so I thought about the comic supplies I needed (bags and boards, not pictured) and added some movie collections to round out the order for free shipping:

Used another B&N coupon on Spectre (bringing my Bond blu ray collection up to date).

Also, cancelled the below Halloween order with Amazon. It had got back ordered and I didn't want to be hit with the bill unexpectedly.

Eh Spectre was okay

Not as bad as Quantum of Solace but nowhere near as good as Casino Royale or Skyfall

Took a day trip with the family to Lancaster Co., Penn. Thursday. Between an "antique mall" (about as much an indoor flea market as antique seller) and some specialty shops, came home with this bundle:

Agreed. But I own all the others, so it wasn't much of a question if I would buy it.

The $10.50 haul from a semi-local church rummage sale:

and a visit to a place called "the Man Cave" in the same town (Bordentown, NJ); this one more expensive at $19:

Well, my "Black Friday" shopping was all from Barnes and Noble's Web site.

With the BF coupons (the book is a Christmas gift for my mother; Creed completes my Rocky collection):

and while Criterion BDs are on sale (through Monday):

Went Christmas shopping today and couldn't resist these gifts to myself (to be fair they were all used or on sale for less than $8):

Those who know how much a fan I am of stop-motion/puppets/practical effects probably won't be surprised that this is one of my favorite Christmas specials:

My daughter recently got a cheap yoyo and wanted me to show her how to do it. I had forgotten how much I loved to yoyo, so I decided to buy myself one and start learning some tricks.
