Geoff Johns has been charting the adventures of Hal Jordan and the GREEN LANTERN Corps since GREEN LANTERN: Rebirth, collaborating with such major artists as Ethan Van Sciver, Darwyn Cooke, Prentis Rollins, Marlo Alquiza and Mick Gray.

This fall, Johns reunites with artists Doug Mahnke and Christian Alamy, as the series begins anew with GREEN LANTERN #1 with cover by Ivan Reis and Joe Prado. Together they will continue to thrill readers and expand the Green Lantern mythos.

RED LANTERNS #1 will be written by Peter Milligan with art and cover by Ed Benes and Rob Hunter.

Brian Wood Not Writing 'SUPERGIRL' #1?

James Robinson left the Hawkman #1 relaunch a few months ago. Brian Clevinger was dropped from Firestorm #1 a few weeks ago. And Brian Wood off Supergirl #1? Count the days on your fingers. Bleeding Cool mentioned Wood, creator of DMZ and Northlanders, was on the book back in April.

Well, last week, he still was. Now… he isn’t.

Whoever they announce as the new writer on Supergirl #1, don’t expect them to have any indepth plans yet…

Hmm, I guess that's true. But in the first part of the article when you go to the link it says:

"Johns declined to give much in the way of specific details about the new series, save for the fact that Hal Jordan will remain a Lantern, as will Kyle Rayner, who will be at the heart of the "New Guardians" title, and Guy Gardner and John Stewart, who will star in "Green Lantern Corps."

I took it to mean that he would still be green, but it doesn't actually say that. Just that Hal and Kyle would still be Lanterns. No actual mention of color. But if John and Guy are both starring in Green Lantern Corps, I'm sure we can assume they will definitely be green.

The way I read it - Kyle will be the GREEN LANTERN leading the rainbow group.

Was just killing time, and decided to redesign Supergirl. I wanted something more retro, so I went with a VERY simple yet padded body suit. Much like my Superman redesign, I picture the Superman Family to have outfits that are sleek like The Flash and like swimmers in real life. The cape is the only thing that should be flowing from Superman or Supergirl. As cute as her mini-skirt is, and as much as I love drawing heart a hint of panties (heh he), it just doesn't make sense. Neither does the bike shorts under the mini-skirt. That is just dumb. She's not playing field hockey. lol

I always think too, that the more clothes on a female character, the sexier they are; I dunno, I just do sometimes.

So, hope you like it. Couple last notes on this though. One, as you can see, I did the inks digitally on my Cintique. Two, while coloring it, I played around with different hairstyles and then completely flopped the head horizontally. I think that works better. Let me know what you think!

I'm not saying that Breen's drawing will be the revamped Supergirl, but it might be. At the very least, I'd say he'll be the core to a lot of the new title logo's we'll be seeing.

I just noticed War of the Green Lanterns hardcover comes out in November.

Since that's two months after everything starts over, I guess there's no reason for me to read it.

DC Comics: Relaunch: Vigilante #1?

It’s now become incredibly tempting to look at every possibly planned DC project and declare it a ptential new #1 for the DC Relaunch. Because, to be fair, that’s happening a lot. Billy Tucci’s planned Cassandra Cain project… that Jock Detective Comics cover… It’s all grist for the mill.

As is this page posted by Darwyn Cooke a few months ago, a pencilled page for Vigilante. Any more, he wasn’t saying. And hasn’t said since.

What are the chances?
