OK.. don't call it JSA.... call it Old Guard or something.. but some of those characters should NOT go unnoticed!!

At this point I have a hard time even calling it the JSA anymore. Mayor Jay Garrick? Green Lantern in a tin can? Blue Devil as a member? Batwing Duck, Judo Bitch, Plaid Beetle, And Black Lightning's daughter? Fucking Magog? I've said it before and I'll say it again, this has Mike Carlin's fingerprints all over it.

Some of us bring up from time to time that we suspect there was a "souring of the milk" that went on with the GL and Flash books prior to their revamps to bring back the silver age icons. I'm starting to wonder if there's an intentional souring of the milk with the JSA because it was performing better than the JLA. Not to mention it was a much better book. How do you allow a book that was so good and selling very well to what they are doing with it today?

I'm starting to wonder.

I'd be ok with a JSA series set in the past with more of a Mystery Man type feel to it...though I'm sure others will disagree with me.

I like two concepts for the JSA:

1. A book set in the 40s and mystery men theme like you mentioned.

2. A modern book with Jay, Carter, Alan, and 5 to 6 current modern JSAers.

Can't really go wrong wiith either of those.
