Generally the people who want to "save the taxpayers money" through something like this are people who never use their public library. Some people cannot accept the idea that spending taxpayer dollars on something they personally won't use can still be a good idea.

I mean, I can understand people who don't want taxpayer dollars to go to things that they find offensive (even in cases where I don't agree with them), but who actually finds public libraries objectionable?
