Ibsen was a quick read (like most plays). Now, I figured this Dickens' bio I've had for a few years would make a good Christmas-season read.
Dickens: Public Life and Private Passion
by Peter Ackroyd
[Not the audiobook, obviously, but the cover is the same and this was a better-sized image.]

Im talking about merely taking those translated pages, and then turning them into an .epub format....Last edited by Space Cop; 12-30-2019, 03:59 AM.

The Dickens bio was a very quick read, but interesting. Made me want to both read a more in-depth bio (some day) and to return to my Dickens reading (still a lot of novels of his I haven’t gotten to). But in the meantime, I want to squeeze in at least one more book before the new year, so I think I’ll go back to Henrik Ibsen with An Enemy of the People.

At the least, I imagine it's a lot less lively than actual audiobooks.
and yea, the voice does can sound monotonous (since it doesn't do inflections or play with word context), but not so much computer-like (again, IMO) since U can alter its speed, plus the diff voices (male & female) that're are yur disposal....

My last book for 2019 had been Henrik Ibsen's A Doll's House.
I ended up reading 34 books in 2019, including my yearly Bible reading, but not including books I started before or only read part of. I'd like to do even more this year since I have the time (it's just a matter of taking it from the time I watch movies, Youtube, or play video games).
