  • A new newbie

    Hi!

I´m a new GL fan in this forum. My first Green Lantern comics were those written by Mike W. Barr, I stopped buying the GL series after the end of the Geoff Johns' run (although I should have done it after Blackest Night) and I'm lately completing my Kyle Rayner's collection (next target: the Ben Raab's run).

    Happy to be here!

One of us! One of us! Gooble gobble, gooble gobble!

Nice avatar. There's a few of us here that were digging Omega Men with Kyle. For my part, I liked it though I found the story hard to follow. I need to re-read it to pick up the story threads I missed.

Welcome aboard! Especially anyone whose memory stretches back to Mike Barr's run.

Yes, I like the Omega Men maxiseries too, although I had to read it as an Elseworlds to completely enjoy the story. The Kyle Rayner I found in this comic isn´t the Kyle I know, and it seemed strange to me that no recognizable alien civilization appears during the whole adventure (no thanagarians, no khunds, no rannians, etc.). So, yes, it´s a good story, but in its own way, apart from the usual (or, at least, my vision of the) DC Universe.

Thanks! The issues drawn by Keith Pollard and Mike DeCarlo are undoubtedly my favorite ones! (I love the work of Mike DeCarlo, actually; it was already recognizable in the last issues of Marv Wolfman's run, improving Joe Staton's pages)
