Green Lantern Coaster Construction Delayed at Six Flags Magic Mountain?
Very little information is available but word flowing on the net is that the Green Lantern rollercoaster for Six Flags Magic Mountain is suffering delays with construction. Some say the construction is weeks behind schedule
and will miss at least 1/4 of the operating season, while Theme Park Insider
just makes note that they are delayed saying
There are some construction delays with their Green Lantern coaster. Although I have never figured out why they would install a ride with such a low capacity in the first place…
That being said, TheCoasterGuy
took to the sky to get a look at what has changed with Green Lantern: First Flight's construction. Unfortunately, not much has changed.
As you can see from the following photo, not a whole lot has changed since my last update. There is a crane, but none of the actual ride supports have been erected yet. If you look really close, you'll notice that a large rectangular concrete form has been built, including rebar. It's on the far side of the lot and looks like it's just waiting for the concrete to be poured.
We'll update you when we get more concrete info on the the subject. At least Green Lantern at Six Flags Great Adventure is going well!
