~ DC Hints at "DC NATION" Plans
Bob Wayne asked if with the branding of a DC Nation animation block on Cartoon Network whether Didio would appear on it and if he'd be animated or live action. Dan DiDio spoke a bit to the future of the line, saying it would be a one-hour block with "some of the lesser known characters...and things that will make you feel like you're part of the company. We're really excited to see our little DC Nation all grown up on TV."
~ Geoff Johns talks Green Lantern Comics
Johns said to expect a lot of activity from the Indigo Tribe after "War of the Green Lanterns." When asked about the Dex-Starr/Krypto fight, Johns said, "You'll see it. They'll fight from Oa to Earth and back." Will we see Superboy Prime anytime in the future? Johns doesn't have any plans for the character, and no plans to bring Alan Scott into the books either. He'll be staying in JSA.
Any chance for "another round" between Bruce Wayne and Hal Jordan? "There's going to be one," Johns said. "No rings, no utility belts." He also said that readers will learn about the very first Green Lantern soon. "One of the things we wanted to do with this arc is get back to the people behind the ring." Johns said of the "War of the Green Lanterns."
"You will see more on the backstory of the Guardians," Johns said, speaking of their evolution into their current, shorter forms. How much influence did DC have in the Six Flags Green Lantern-themed rides? Johns said actually a lot, and that even Parallax will appear on a ride. Geoff Johns claims the story for SECRET ORIGIN 2: Sinestro is done but no word on when we'll see it.
During fan questions, a reader asked whether or not there was any fear that the books were focusing too much on other Lantern Corps and not on Hal Jordan. "I think we're pretty happy...Green Lantern's big, and I don't want it to focus on one kind of story. Green Lantern can be any story," said Johns. "I'm glad it's big." A reader also asked for "Mogo: Secret Origin" to which the writer replied "There's actually a lot coming up with Mogo, but it's not exactly his secret origin." Johns said they want to "move forward" with Green Lantern, and readers can expect to see more new characters in the mix soon. No plans for any Green Lantern "Elseworlds" books. A fan wondered whether Johns would return to the personal themes of life behind the mask that were explored in the classic "Green Lantern/Green Arrow" stories to which the writer replied. "The point of 'War of the Green Lanterns' really examines that...what kind of life is it when you never come out of the costume?"
