  • Cops staking out a motel near me

Plainclothes cops in unmarked cars have been staking out a hotel near me overnight for well over a month. I assume they think human trafficking is going on there.

Can you imagine sitting in a car all night for weeks, looking at a motel? How can they even stay awake? And if I've noticed them, then maybe the traffickers have too.

Anyway, it goes to show that when cops suspect something is going on, they'll spare no manpower and will stay on the case for a very long time.

I walked by there this morning before sunrise and saw two women dressed as prostitutes lounging on a corner. One waved at me and yelled,"Good morning!" I don't know whether they were cops, but I just waved back and didn't say anything.

The cops in the unmarked cars are still out there. I don't know whether to admire their persistence or regret the way they use their resources.

I think if you stake out any motel for more than six weeks and see no reason to arrest anyone, then there's probably less illegal activity there than at most motels.

Sounds like whoever they are looking for got spooked and moved to a different motel.

They seem to have given up.

Or maybe they're just changing their methods.

                That sounds more likely.
