I have a feeling that Jessica's last action was entirely what Guy wanted.:Gray Lantern the True Neutral:
Cyberium of Sector 614, you foresee great HOPE in our future.

I assume her punching him is going to lead to them becoming best buds and Guy giving her the seal of approval for readers.

Then in Action, I just thought her being a model and Hal getting all distracted and soap opera-y was funny.
Mostly, I just like Arisia and we see more of her and her romantic side if she's hooked up with a main character. In real life, I find it creepy if a guy my age (37) goes after a college girl, let alone an on-earth illegal relationship.
Again, this is probably the Trekkie in me. Just like I want green girlfriend, I also want a pointy-eared girlfriend.

It's too bad Arisia gets NO focus in the current titles. I prefer her to Soranik, as I'm partial to those characters from the 1980s Steve Englehart comics!
What issue number is Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps on now? Like... 22 or something? I think if Venditti was going to do something with Arisia, he would have done it, or at least alluded to it by now. Whenever I glance at the title, she is left near completely out of it aside from appearing in the crowd here and there.
I think this scene here has been her biggest role in the whole thing, and her only line has been "Aaagh":
Personally, I don't care for the set up of the GLC title focusing on four Earth guys with an army of aliens way in the background. To me, that's just not a very good paradigm because what's the point of these fantastic aliens when they're not important? Star Wars manages to pull something like that off, but I think the fact that the GL characters actually come from Earth (and not some totally made up setting where Earth isn't around), changes things.
I like the idea of an Earthling (or maybe 2, but that's it) among a bunch of aliens, not really a group of Earthlings who spend time only with each other, and then there are some aliens waaaaaaaay off to the side. I think the joy of reading such a title should be seeing an earthling (like the reader) interacting with all this alien stuff. Something is lost when these human characters primarily only interact with each other, and the aliens are just an aside, for the most part.Last edited by Star-Lantern; 05-29-2017, 05:13 PM.

That's the problem with doing one GL title that crams Hal, John, Guy, Kyle and any aliens in the GLC into it. No room for any of the lower tier characters to breathe, let alone get any development.
Meanwhile, the two diversity project shitbags get a whole title to themselves, based on Earth, AND show up in the JLA titles.
